Incredible place and staff. Been there twice with my girlfriend and both times they've gone out of their way to make sure we're okay. Just the other day I got a code that gave us a amazingly cheesey pizza to share, after we got a free desert because of issue beyond their control that they handles perfectly. Another time my girlfriend wasn't feeling well so they went out their way to open up a area of the restaurant outside just for us. I believe our server was Silvia. Both Silvia and the manger (I think) are amazing to us and the food is out of this world. Thank you so much.
Food was to a good standard. But the waiter when we said about a food allergy. They said they will speak to the chef But the chef came back with not too sure and we asked about a Onion In a simple meal and could not give us an answer that tells me some of the stuff is not Fresh when a simple meal, you expect to be fresh, but did we did not get the answer we was looking for apart from that, the food was good, but you can tell simplicitly sometimes they will not able to answer.
We had an absolutely incredible family reunion and Andera was brilliant! (Even my 6 year old niece commented how kind she was).
The food was delicious and great fun was had by all. So glad we chose to spend our time together there. I was so busy enjoying the evening I didn’t think to take pictures of the food, but it was excellent. We had the onion flat breads for starters (divine!) and a variety of meals around the table. I had the Pollo Funghi, a new dish on the menu and it was great! All main dishes were around £14 to £16.
Thank you for the great food and excellent service. You helped make our reunion very special indeed! Highly satisfied, we will return.
P.S. I’m very surprised at the bad reviews, this certainly was very far from our experience. I’ll definitely go back.
An excellent meal at Bella Italia Portsmouth. Venue was a little quiet, but it was a Tuesday evening. Food was first class. Had the Chicken Milanese and it was delicious. Would definitely recommend it.
Delicious Italian food with affordable price, especially when you use the student discount.
We went there a bit late so some menus were already sold out unfortunately, but other dishes were also super good! We didn't wait long for the food to serve at all. Satisfied!
Had takeaway via Uber Eats. Flawless. Really tasty and fresh food. Want to try more as loved my pasta dish, would have a pizza next time. Would deffo recommend for future visits. Ignore the negative reviews.
Fabulous evening out. We had a family reunion and the staff were so accommodating and helpfulwithmy daughter in a wheelchair. Great food and exceptional service by our waitress.
We had a number of issues with food/drinks but nothing that wasn't corrected and dealt with immediately. We were a large table and it took time for drinks and orders came out at different times. The staff were friendly and helpful, I would recommend visiting but only if you were a smaller table.

Bella Italia was a nice restaurant, we were approached and seated quickly, wasn't too busy as expected on Wednesday evening.
We ordered our drinks and they arrived promptly, after which we ordered starters and mains which came in a timely fashion. One issue that I noted after we had received our mains is there was no side order bought to us. 😞 I called a waitress and pointed this out, she quickly admitted she had forgotten it and set about getting it to us, very admirable, no problem there.
The food was pretty good, mushroom soup thing was really good (sorry, can't remember what is was actually called) pork meatballs were 'meh' but sauce was great. The macaroni cheese was lacking the cheese part, a considerable amount of pasta was just plain. There is no such thing as too much cheese. 😜
The atmosphere was mostly good, chilled, relaxed, it was someone's birthday so they got a birthday song and some gelato. That was really nice.
Shortly before we left however, there was a young man that came in and did not wait to be seated by a host but walked to the bar and spoke to staff before being shown a table. Once he was seated and even before he was constantly talking on his phone and fidgeting without ordering, stumbling and swaying to the toilets and back. It was quite evident he was drunk or on drugs, this made it very uncomfortable for us as he was seated close by.
P.S. To the people reviewing, expecting good fries and/or burgers at an Italian restaurant - it's not Italian food genius's. 🙄
