12 of us (2 families) turned up and the lads (sorry I didn't even think to get names 🤦🏻‍♀️) that were working on 12th October, we're very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. They moved tables for us so we could all sit together and were polite etc. I know you kind of expect it but it's a rarity nower days. So yer, definitely recommend.

Great food, well it can be ordered and paid for then 10 min later be told that 50% of what you ordered wasn't available and to choose again. With NO refund of the price difference. Otherwise, staff are busy rushing about not seemingly doing anything in particular other than telling customers that they should queue at one spot, at the long bar, otherwise would not be served by anyone. Then, only ONE person taking food and drink orders at the designated ordering point and then serving the drinks whilst the queue got longer. Perhaps more staff or staff that actually served behind the bar might be helpful in a PUB. Call me old fashioned, but I thought that you could wait at any point at a bar and get served but not here, especially on a Saturday night - join the queue or we will shout at you. Oh and make sure you ask if they actually have in stock the food that you are about to pay for - chances are that they haven't.

Went here today with my 3 children , ordered 3 lots of chips and onion rings, and a large orange and lemonade. Got charged £17.01, thought it sounded a bit much , and mentioned to bar staff if it was right . Another bar person looked at it and tried to justify the amount and said we owe you 10p." I said, "Don't worry bout it, then sat down. Still didn't think it was right so went on app put in what I brought they had over charged me by nearly £2 I know its not alot , but how many other people have they done this too , and tried to justify what they had done . I suggest ordering an app and not go to the bar. Or add it up before you order so you know how much it comes too. Also ordered drinks when I came in got charged £15.75 but on the app should have come to £14.50 so totally ripped me off today . Will not be going back!!!!

Lovely location by the sea with views of the Eastney part of the harbour. Service is great and that staff are very friendly and accommodating even for young babies providing a high chair. They do two pub classics for under £15 which is ideal for a nice lunch or dinner out. Nice hot chips, the meals were nicely presented and good for the price. Would come for drinks in the sun ☀️

Come here for celebration drinks and food for my nan and grandad of 64years wedding anniversary family get together food was nice and good value for money and reasonably priced along with different variety of options to choose from . Also I'd like to say a massive thank you from the gentleman who asked what my grandparents were drinking to congratulate them they were grateful for this . Also dogs welcomed which is good as not many places luke this nowadays mainly outdoor area but dogs allowed inside also

My husband and I ate there last Sunday. We were given a lovely table overlooking the shore.Drinks order taken immediately followed by our order for two roast lamb shanks dinners .It wasn't as hot as we'd liked inspite of our server making a note we'd like it hot he was very nice and attentive. We ate it all !just ! It's a big dinner and delicious. Our second visit within 2 weeks for the same dinner .Going to try the fish and chips next week 2 for 1 deal .
