As a lifelong resident, it's hard not to know this location. Incredible lobster rolls and several different delicious chowder's to choose from. This is a seasonal location and usually closes around late October early November. On a recent trip I brought a friend of mine with me and we both had the lobster chowder which was fantastic. My friend tried the chowder and he thought the lobster meat was a little bit cold (some people do like cold lobster) but it was not a problem, they simply reheated the chowder and a couple of minutes later all was well. When you see the amount of lobster chunks of meat that are put in the chowder, your eyes will come out of your head! My friend has been a very serious foodie for the better part of fifty years in the area and said he has never seen so much meat inside a lobster chowder!! I think you would be very hard-pressed to find any place else that has as much meat in the lobster chowder than Geno's. The lobster rolls themselves are excellent as well and you have the choice of drawn butter or mayonnaise. I've tried several different menu items so it's hard to say about each one, but all were delicious. Several incredible desserts to choose from. Trust me when I tell you to try the strawberry rhubarb pie with ice cream on the side! As of Summer 2020 you are best to call ahead to make reservations but they can usually get you in relatively quickly.

We dined on the patio with a beautiful view of Sagamore Creek. Our clam chowder and haddock were delicious! We had an overall great experience. The only demerit is we felt rushed to leave by the wait staff.

First time visitors - very nice! Very creamy tasty clam chowder. Delicious clams lobster & scallops. Nice view of the water. Tables inside & out are properly spaced & masks required. Great service!

This is the perfect little spot off the beaten path to grab a bite and a drink, sit on the water and relax! The steamers were great and I loved the mid range chardonnay they had by the glass. My husband has a very good dark and stormy too. They are taking great care to be safe during covid! We will be back!

What a shame . After 25 years on the Seacoast and some good feedback from some others I now finally got the chance to try . What a bad idea ! Eight of us , came in two separate boats to dock for lunch . Three separate companies , all Seacoast based , that do very well without getting into too much detail . We felt like “hoodlums” upon walking down the boat ramp toward the restaurant. We asked for seating and were looked at like it was a trick question . When asked who came in what boat due to COVID rules , we happily explained five in one boat and three in another and understood that we would have to have two separate seating areas . You would have thought we asked for VIP seating in the White House dining room . I’ve never felt so unwelcome. We were told due to owners rules they probably were unable to accommodate us . Was it due to our flip flops or t shirts ? Or a couple of us with baseball hats on ? Not sure but I can say this . We all reside in the Seacoast and all agree we have never felt so unwelcome as we did today here at this establishment. I feel like we all “do well enough “ to get the normal treatment we should receive as such an establishment. This hole in the wall should be watched , just because it’s situated in Rye doesn’t mean you should be expecting decent service as we found out today .
