The Black Bull

We decided to visit the Black Bull after having not been for a few years. This has been one of my local pubs overs a few decades and I've seen it go through quite a few changes. The food menu was comprehensive and catered for all diets. The prices were very reasonable from the outset and we ordered a couple of burgers. I used the app ordering system which was easy to navigate. When the food arrived, it was well presented and more importantly, well cooked. We visited on a Monday evening, and we found a nice table to enjoy our visit. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the standard and we will certainly be returning a lot sooner than I had left my visits previously. Parking was no issue, just make sure you enter your registration on the many screens at the doors and the bar so you dont get sent a ticket.

The pub was very busy however we were attended to quickly and found a suitable table . The menu had a great verity . We used the on line option to book our drinks and meal and it was very efficient . We did not have to wait long for our drinks and the staff were friendly and Efficient . The meal was deliscious all three of us enjoyed it . A very welcoming place . Thank you

I received a parking fine for not getting a ticket. I rarely visit the pub because I am no longer local. When I visited the pub again with my parking fine, I did notice all the parking signs, so it was clearly my fault for not getting a ticket to park. I spoke to the manager and he very kindly cancelled my parking fine, there and then. So thank you for that, I will be more observant next time.

Normally service here is quick but sadly not so this time. Had to wait nearly an hour for our food! But it was definitely worth waiting for. Hunter's chicken was fantastic! Side portion of steamed veg delicious. Staff apologetic and very polite as always. Otherwise this is a great pub, great atmosphere and great selection of food and drink. Food prices very reasonable esp with email discount! Highly recommended!

Experienced the last 2 games of Euro 2020 at The Black Bull, Garstang Road. Decent vibes. Frequented by regulars, probably inhabitants of Fulwood, who know the servers by their first name. The bar food was not exceptional. Our feast included home fried nachos (very flavourful and fresh, recommended), calamari salt & pepper, onion rings, fish & chips, chicken & pork ribs with Korean styled bbq sauce (which was a little dry), tasty succulent chicken wings in Nashville style hot sauce & Hunters chicken (I agree, BBQ flavour overload on our table) The sweet potato fries should not be missed whereas the treacle sponge pudding can be skipped. 2 cocktails for £8 is a good deal. Good spirit & beer selection. For us, the biggest plus point is the convenience & proximity of the pub to our residence. Ordering and paying on the app makes life easier. Very prompt service and friendly, polite staff. Warm ambience. Good indoor & outdoor seating arrangement. Will we visit The Black Bull pub again? Yes, of course!
