Bella Cafe Bar & Gelato

A really lovely place. Found it on the off chance. Found the staff so very friendly and really helpful (we had an annoying wonky table). My food was really delish, couldn't fault what I had at all. We did order a cheese toasted sandwich as well but due to fresh bloomer loaf being used and how it was cut Ithere Wass only a little semi circle of bread so there wasn' enough bread for the cheese to go in, there was loads of crust. Sorry to say it wasn't a very good toasted cheese sandwich! We did mention it to the owner who came to ask if everything was OK and he suggested for us to pay half price for it which was fine. I really did like Bella's but for me I will think about visiting again as they don't do soya cuppucino/latte or decaf coffee!! They do use soya milk but they pour it into the black coffee. Other than that the cakes all looked really delicious/yummy and ice cream all looked tasty too. It was quite busy for 4pm on a Sunday afternoon, all good for the cafe. I did like Bella Cafe Bar and would recommend to others but as I do like my soya decaff cuppucino/latte I will most probably go elsewhere unless I decide to visit and have an alcoholic drink with their food instead! 👍😊

This place is unreal. The staff are amazing, it is clear that the owners are invested in the business and genuinely want to make it succeed. Their prices are very reaonable and the portion size huge. If you haven't been here you're missing out. I'd go there everyday but I'm afraid i wouldn't live very long.

We went to the Bella for a treat, and go try our local ice cream place. We normally go to a different parlour in southend, no names as I’m not sure I can put there name on here. It isn’t cheep, at £37 for 2 adults and 2 kids, but they are 13 years old and eat like adults. It dose cost a lot for ice cream, but it isn’t just ice cream. We had the 2 waffles, a chocolate brownie sundae, and the doughnut thing that you see in the picture, but can’t remember it’s name, 1 milk shake and a bottle of Fanta. The portions are big, the ice cream is delicious and you do have a lot to choose from the menu, I was happy to pay that for the food and how nice it was. Staff are really nice and friendly, and considering how busy it was, we were served pretty quickly. The thing I would say that is negative about Bella, when you sit in you have to go and order you ice cream from the till rather than the table, but no real biggie but I do like to order from the table. It’s the same at other ice cream parlours I’ve been to though. the only other thing was how load it was inside, it sounds so echoey. As I say no big issue just my thoughts. Will definitely be going back to our local now, rather then others we have been to. 👍🏻👍🏻
