These guys have it sussed...
It has a very family business feel to it (not sure if it is or not, but that's the welcome you feel when you arrive). The staff are very friendly and happy to explain dishes or drinks to you. Everything is freshly cooked; the food is always hot and very well presented.

Burnt teacake and a cup of hot milk with a hint of choxolate! So sorry to say this is one place I would not recommend or visit again. The two members of staff were less than friendly and made you feel like you couldn't approach them - I needed another butter to spread on the burnt teacake I had and only realised it was burnt when I picked it up to butter it! Both my mum's and my tea cakes were burnt on one side which lucky for them wasn't the side you buttered and of course we didn't realise until we started eating and buttering each side We should have let them know but they didn't seem the type of ladies you could approach. The price was a little on the dear side for a teacake too - £2.50. So surprised to see the rating this place has as there was no way it was anywhere near that yesterday when we visited.

Fantastic food! Fantastic service! We were a bit slow to order (to busy chatting!) But we weren't rushed at all - fab! Will be taking my Mum (The ultimate compliment! Haha!)

Amazing! Lovely to be able to have the dogs, they had blankets if they are wet and water bowl , great coffee - unlike the Luke warm burnt mess youd get at Costa! And not stingy on sizes!

Rayleigh RAT Runners held our cafe run here yesterday evening. I booked very late and Hayley the owner couldn't have been more helpful. Sorted a lovely buffet and cakes for after our run which went down very well. Thank you cafe tiere will certainly hold another one. Sarah 🐀🏃♀️🏃♂️

This delightful cafe is under new management, however the quality of delicious food, friendly staff and efficient service remains the same.
So pleased our go-to eating place in Rayleigh is back.

Best cup of coffee in Rayleigh and possibly Essex! Amazingly friendly welcoming staff and cozy atmosphere. Very reasonable prices compared to the big coffee chains. Highly recommended!

Lovely little restaurant, a great selection of food for both breakfast and lunch. Service was fantastic as well and the food itself was amazing!
