Lovely place, quick service, polite staff. Huge portions! We visited the restaurant mid afternoon on a week day, so was fairly quiet. Free roadside parking. The batter was perfect, chunky chips, pot of coffee and bread and butter. Lovely!

Dog friendly! This is so important for us as there are not many eat in fish n chip shops that are. The waitress was lovely, brought water out straight away for our dog. Food was lovely and a great deal with a hot pot of tea or coffee plus bread and butter included. Recommended 👍

Lovely traditional fish and chips with eat in facilities free parking on the road outside , great price and great quality. Up there with some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had

Batter cooked to perfection and fish was exceptional chips were good quality and cooked well . A great plus for us dogs we’re welcome! Staff were very friendly and fast

Best fish 'n' chips l've had for ages.
Although Ripon has always been good for fish & chips. Would thoroughly recommend. They are open from 11am until 8pm.

I wasn't 100% sold on the idea but I am now that I've been.
All cooked piping hot and fresh to an excellent standard in clean hot oil - it makes a difference.
Chips were clean, no bad bits and nicely cooked. The fish was fresh tasting, white and in golden crispy batter.
The restaurant is cosy but in a good was with an upstairs too. This is clean and well presented.
The staff are good at what they do and welcoming on a chilly day with a smile and well mannered.
All together I can only recommend this without hesitation.

We found Drakes by chance and can only say it was fate, Drakes are to us very Highly recommended, for EVERYTHING...cleanliness ..atmosphere...friendliness...most of all the EXCELLENT Fish n Chips, has to be the BEST we have had for a long time...
