Been meaning to call into this pub for years but never did due to it being off the main drab/market place. Cracking pub and ales. Very deceiving from the outside. Will make it my first port of call whenever I'm in Ripon now.

2nd visit and starting to really like this local pub as my new local. Great beers (incl Cask beer) and friendly service even to a non-local. Lovely outdoor setting with tones of space for families and large groups.

Brilliant pub - really good range of beers. And nice to be able to have a pork pie to go with a pint.

What a wonderful bar although they did not serve food they allowed 8 of us to take in fish n chips from a local chippy and provided knives forks and etc the beers were wonderfully tasty and a place I hope to frequent when in the area

Nice pub with decent local ales. Very clean ladies’ toilet. Service was good the nights we were there.

This is my idea of the perfect pub, as much outside under cover seating (probably more) great staff and the best kept beer (particularly temp) I have tasted in years oh and genuinely dog friendly, if I'm back in Ripon I will return..thank you...

A slight face-lift after the long-standing licensee's departure, but real ale is still the main focus. 6 well-kept beers on my Sunday visit. Large garden with dogs welcome.
