Green River is in my opinion the best local Chinese in Collier Row. If you live in Collier Row or Green River delivers to you, I highly recommend. The staff are always lovely and the food is divine. Never had a disappointing Chinese from these lovely people!

Don't really get what the bad reviews are about... We've lived in the area for 10+ years and this is by far the best quality and generous portion size Chinese around. Only really pain is it is closed on Tues but apart from that I think we had 1 mixed up order in the 10 years and they sorted out delivering a replacement, solved in about 10 mins.
The staff at the takeaway and the delivery drivers especially are always beyond friendly and if anything always have a chat and laugh on the door step which most other.places throw the food and run. As I say, not too sure where the odd bad review comes from but certainly can't agree with them.
Definitely recommend, always hot and delivered quicker than expected. Some times gets very busy but to be expected I guess.

I see a few reviews saying the food is awful lol you clearly ain’t had a awful Chinese yet, this is my local I don’t ever leave reviews but the food here is unmatched with any other Chinese in the area probably one of the best in east London I used to have to get a cab to collect my food I’m so happy they deliver to me now.. try the honey ribs from there absolute 🔥

Not too sure what has happened. If the chef has changed or they were not the same people as always. Last month the food was sublime and I enjoyed every bit of it. Now it got a bit pricey and food is not par to the quality it was before. Don't get me wrong it is still decent but it was different in presentation and was more oily than usual. The breaded prawns unfortunately were burned and the chowmain dishes were a bit too oily. Ribs and Singapore noodles were lovely as always however. Amazing service as always and delivery super quick as well. I am sorry about having to leave such a low rating but some dishes were not up to par to they amazing service they always give. I really hope they did not change the chef. Thank you for being so nice and always working so hard. You are always so so lovely. But please do not change your ways of cooking. :)

Some brilliant vegan options which is great to see (and seems quite rare in most Chinese take aways around this way). Loved that they swapped the free prawn Crackers for some veg spring rolls without me asking (I just said no to the prawn crackers). Marked down as no gluten free options which feels a real shame and means I can't get anything here for my daughter.

I Ordered from green river this evening. They deivered quickly and hot. Chilli beef is the best I've had in a while. I ordered the chilli beef and noodles set meal and was a large portion which was enough for myself and son.
I Will definitely be ordering from them again
