Lovely pub, nice and clean. Very welcoming. Outside area to sit front and back. Dog friendly. Staff were very friendly and service was excellent. Unfortunately I cannot give 5 stars for the food. I had trio roast. The vegetables were over cooked. I had trio dessert. chocolate brownie, cheesecake and Eton mess. The eton was was basically a big blob of cream with a few tiny pieces of meringue, no strawberries. The cheesecake didn’t taste anything like cheesecake, more like a mango tart. The food let this pub down
Went for a group lunch here recently and had a good meal. We both had the Chicken & Bacon Pie, mine with the Chunky Chips as shown. Everyone from the group had different meals off the menu and all commented on how nice and tasty theirs were. Would consider returning again if passing the local neighbourhood again. Atmosphere and the place was good, clean and friendly staff. This was during the week so not sure what it would be like on the weekends.
Took my Dad today and really enjoyed! Food excellent 👍 service prompt and professional
Great prices 👍 lovely little touches
Will be back 😁 thank you
Fabulous first time visit to The Earl of Strafford for lunch. Food was very tasty and so well presented, service very attentive but not intrusive. We will definitely be returning
Incredible wine tasting evening, with an offering of ‘afternoon’ tea and bubbly beforehand. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and sat in the side bar whilst everyone arrived. The event was well organised and had a beautiful welcome board, with the table set up with a generous portion of cheese and meats, bread, and crackers. The host from the pub, and the wine expert, were fantastic. We had 4 wines to taste and they were all very healthy portions, probably a small glass of wine meaning we got a good 500ml each of excellent quality wine which was available to buy if we wanted. Assuming the wine as different, I’d 100% come again even on a monthly basis! The host bought a large group which really added to the fun dynamic as they were engaging and fun - they even had a hilarious challenge to try and beat the world record for eating 3 Jacobs crackers in 60 seconds, and got us all involved couldn’t stop laughing!! It’s harder than it sounds! I hope future events have an equally lively group as the atmosphere was amazing, and not pretentious at all. Although people clearly made an effort to look nice, particularly the ladies, it was a casual affair and thoroughly enjoyable. I’d highly recommend the pub and their warm hospitality. Thank you for an amazing night!
We have eaten here for a number of years..foods always good, staff are professional and friendly..
Tonight we have just popped in for a drink..
Great place to relax and chill.
Just popped in for t with our Staffordshire Terrier Spencer! The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Very impressed with how welcome our boy was too. They even had a doggy menu. Food was very quick, hot and delicious. We went for the after 4pm menu, 3 courses for £17.95 each and left very satisfied.
We will definitely be back
One of my favourite places to eat, good food, good atmosphere, staff are always attentive and polite. Always feel welcomed and because it's a step up or two from your usual chain pub food you don't get the noisy kids running around!
Definitely be back
Couldn’t fault anything today. Nicole was superb and is heading a great team here. Great atmosphere due to top, polite and efficient service. Would recommend very highly !
Gorgeous decor, lovely atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff who can’t do enough and lush food. Highly recommend this place for Sunday lunch / mid week dinner x
