We visited The Garrison for our date night and we weren't disappointed.
It wasn't too busy so were given the choice of where we wanted to sit. Our server Mark took our drinks order and talked us through the specials. We ordered food and enjoyed the cosy atmosphere.
It's a small restaurant but you don't feel like your sat on top of each other. You're pretty close to the kitchen so get to smell the food cooking and it smells incredible! It's a restaurant only so no noisy drunk revellers!
Our food came out in good time and was really delicious. We couldn't manage the full 3 courses but thoroughly enjoyed what we had. The food was well presented and
really tasty. Mark was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. After dinner we enjoyed our drinks on the terrace outside. They provide blankets but thankfully it was a warm evening.
It was a really lovely evening, the food was great and the service was excellent. Will definitely be going back!
This place is a little gem. Totally didn't expect such a high standard of food and service, and I only wish I'd tried this place before. Great atmosphere, great service, delicious food. We'll definitely be back. Thank you.
Excellent atmosphere, superb staff, very accommodating and efficient. Food is to die for, no complaints, compliments to the chefs.

First time this evening at The Garrison. Had a lovely meal, witn great service and good quality food. It is small and quaint, no loud music with a pleasant atmosphere, which is perfect for hearing aid users. The cocktail menu could have been a little more robust , that's a personal choice only. Thank you, we will definitely return.!
This place raises the bar for food and service. A very interesting menu with plenty of choice. Staff have obviously worked hard to create a professional dining experience in a relaxed and comfortable setting. It’s an amazing restaurant.
Overall, a very good experience as the quality of the food and service was high. However, I’m pretty sure the scampi was in fact monkfish. Would definitely recommend and return. Thank you, The Garrison!
Had a fabulous meal to celebrate our Anniversary. The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive.

Our second visit
Had a fabulous evening.
Josh on front of house is fun and knowledgeable about the food / drinks etc. Makes great cocktails. Other waiting on staff were attentive and friendly. Elliot the chef created fabulous food, beautifully presented and served.Nothing to fault there.
The venue is cosy and well presented, but when all tables are full it does get very hot and stuffy and very loud - not sure what can be done to change this but unfortunately it does detract a little from what could realy be a fine dining experience.
A lovely evening. Great food at reasonable (but dont think cheap) prices. Will definitely be back.
Our first visit.
Had a lovely evening here at the end of October. Food was absoultely delicious and the service excellent. Pricing was spot on and Joshua and Sam (I think) were super friendly and fun hosts. Both food and drinks menu were explained well with suggestions made for 'likes and dislikes'. Definitely worth a visit, have already reccommended to friends and I am sure we will return.
So pleased to see they won the award - we voted for them on the night
