Jamaican Cuisine

Just made a takeaway order from this place for the first time expected good quality food. I ordered jerk chicken and rice, fried fish, plantain and Roy’s Fruit Punch. I cannot believe the quality of the food I received! The jerk chicken and rice was edible but the chicken was very dry. The FRIED FISH HAD GONE OFF! It sat in one really off putting liquid so was completely wet and you could instantly tell the fish was not fresh. The substitute for the Fruit Punch was Orange and Pineapple juice which had also GONE OFF. As I ordered through Deliveroo I submitted a complaint straight to them. I don’t have an image of the fried fish as I immediately threw it away, I do however still have the juices as I have been drinking it up until now! (Today is 5th Feb 2022)!!!

I expect Saltfish and ackee to be a little salty but this was inedible. Tiny portions and I'm not a big eater! The mac n cheese side came in a half sized takeaway container and was half full. Prisoners would have rioted over the hard food if they were served this, raw dough and grey hard potatoes. Considering the ingredients are very cheap the prices are high. According to my OH the brown stew was nice. Very disappointing Friday night

We have decided to go for a meal after re-opening. I couldn’t recommend it enough. Service was fab ( bid shout out to Emilia), food was great, as for cocktails….😋. Did I mention music ? It’s hard to sit still. Overall, great experience and I highly recommend the place. Thank you guys for an awesome evening and see you soon 👍🏻

This use to be a 5 star place but now 3 star. Every time I go there, they never have what I want. I find that oddly strange considering it’s a restaurant that should always have food in stock! Quality of food has declined over the years, dumplings are very salty, plantain and mac n cheese super oily. Food is not as nice as it use to be but still okay. The decor and staff are very nice however, the food takes super long to come out. I really wish the old manager stayed as the food was more authentic and tasty

Ordered and paid for a meal on their website on 4th Jan but it did not go through. They’ve informed me there is a problem temporarily but Just Eat is working. I advise you call the restaurant just in case. Be advised they are not open on Monday and Tuesday. Dan still arranged the meal for me and complimentary drink for the mishap. Thanks 🙏 Food was lovely and I liked the fizzy grape juice.

Amazing food. Have been waiting to try this place for a while, but they were under renovation. Place looked fantastic, really well decorated with the Jamaican colour theme. Kirsty, our hostess was very friendly, courteous and helpful. The food was fantastic. Nicely spiced and presented. Over all had a very pleasant experience and will be going back.
