3 of us went here for a birthday meal for my dad. Service was first class, food was delicious and plenty of it. We had a lovely time. Will definately be returning.
A clean, bright, comfortable pub with excellent food, and friendly service. The menu had great variety, the drinks were good and we appreciated the large outdoor garden as an option for dining with our small dog. Would highly recommend this pub for drinks or a terrific meal
A cosy village pub on the outskirts of Waltham chase. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food is good, a little expensive for what it is perhaps but it was made up for by the staff’s warm hospitality.
Came for a Sunday roast after a few recommendations and it was definitely worth a visit. Roast was delicious, service was warm and friendly and whilst there was a live band on it wasn’t too loud and provided an additional element to the atmosphere. We would definitely recommend and we will be coming back again. Thank you for a lovely Sunday 💜

The service was next to none, waitress was pleasant and very attentive.
Atmosphere was lovely.

First night fancied something simple a basket meal £6.50 good quality nice beer and our black dog felt very at home. Went back a second night ate off the main menu again lovely meal
The food was excellent, it's good to find somewhere that is as good as it was pre covid. Prices are average and the service is good.
The carpeted, dog friendly bar is as well appointed as the much larger restaurant, which is down some steps and is not dog friendly. There's also an outside eating area filled with trestle tables.
A great little pub. The staff were full of enthusiasm and I was greeted with a huge smile. The food was really tasty and served promptly. The price provided good value. The atmosphere was friendly - clearly a favourite with locals and passing travellers alike. There's plenty of parking to the side of the pub; with disabled parking near the front door. The pub offers food in the bar or in a restaurant area at the back. Overall a good pub.
We stopped for a travel break! Had a disabled friend with us...the staff could not have been more helpful..espically the " boss".
We will definitely call in again, for some food ...which looked amazing.
