Myself and my wife love coming here, it's a great pub that serves a good size tasty meal at very affordable prices. We are always made to feel very welcome and the owners and staff are all lovely.
Enjoyed a lovely meal here. The staff were friendly and welcoming. There was a varied menu and my husband was delighted to see a number of vegetarian options. The portions were substantial. Overall the meals with a couple of drinks each proved very good value. A great find just a short walk from the hotel where we were staying that provided a good option to enjoy a pleasant meal without breaking the bank!
This is a nice pub good old fashioned atmosphere, warm and welcoming, Had been warned a band was playing but fine with us. they take last booking for food at 19.30. had lovely old jukebox, toilets are lovely and clean and disabled toilet easy access. staff friendly and helpful just one young girl not seeming to want to chat but no problem. menu old styled pub food which is good and reasonably priced and the portions are big and hot so get value for money. Real ales on tap.
This pub is a 5 minute walk from the New Place Hotel and just on the outskirts of Southampton, the drive there is lovely. Would definitely recommend and go back
I think the kitchen was closing when we arrived but they pushed the boat out and served us a lovely meal with all the trimmings. I had the Steak and Kidney pie and I could not walk afterwards as I was stuffed. My wife had a huge Burger and chips and that too was extremely filling. Lovely friendly staff too. I had a couple of drinks whilst there and really enjoyed the experience.
Friendly staff, good food (including a surprising number of vegetarian options, including this beet goat cheese burger), and the place filled up with musicians and Irish dancing. Loved it.
Excellent service and atmosphere, the food was excellent too and plenty of it. Recommended
Visited for a lunch meal and decided on the Venison burger and chunky chips, my Fiancée had the Lamb burger. Food was served very quickly, very generous portion size which neither of us could quite finish. Staff very good too.
Nice peaceful location with a nice Garden. Only slight negative is the car park is for about 4 cars although there is some street parking.
stayed local and fancied a better choice of items to have for dinner.

Great lil country pub absolute love visiting here when passing.. although the last time we visited the food quality had slipped there wasn't as much home made stuff and everything seem brought in.. but we had a great time and the customer service was great and my son absolutely loved his peas 😀
First impression was not great.. Ate in the bar area next to the lav..
Food was beyond my expectations.
Had a baguette, this thing was absolutely loaded with a generous helping of fries on the side.
Would definitely go again.. 👍
