Popped in here Thursday evening for a bite to eat, amazing food, really good. Great for a nice pot of tea, great pub, great staff. Just a shame it's in Sheffield, if it were in Lancaster it would be my regular

Happened upon this place purely by accident and so glad we did. Small menu hinted at good food, but it exceeded our expectations. My chicken burger was pretty outstanding, chips were perfect in every way and my husband and stepson’s pies looked even better than my own pies. Honestly, if there had been a pattern on my plate, I’d have eaten that as well. Please come open your style of pub in my neighbourhood in Chester. Please please please

Great pub, brewery and staff

I come here about 5 times a year when in the area and the staff always give 110%. Couldn't be more talkative or happy to give out tasters and just generally positive. Beer range is great, usually around 12 Thornbridge beers on, more in bottles and a few lagers.

Pre Match Drinks. Nice relaxed pub. Frequented by local families, students, and professionals on their way out to the leafy suburbs. The food is the usual pub menu, plus some really nice specialities, and the beer and wine menu is good. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the place has a relaxed local feel. Good for an early evening drink, or a Saturday lunch. Watch out when SUFC are playing at home, as it gets a bit busy, though it is important to stress that the crowd are more likely to be families on their way to or from the match, rather that soccer yobs.

Lovely, dog friendly pub with a great selection of beers and food. Veggie and vegan options were really nice. Great spot to sit out on a sunny evening

Service was okay, but you have to pay by card. COVID is over now a five pond note will not kill you. Not the cheapest beer and the range of ales at my time of visit were mostly high in the ABV dept.

Big beer garden, really lovely friendly and helpful staff. Knowledge about which draughts were vegan and helped us choose. Pub quiz on Mondays is great fun.

Great beer pub. All welcome. Inc dogs. Food at the right price, good quality and quick. Cheers. (Could do with having Zero Fifty on draft at all times)

Great place. Kids can play outside in the garden and play area. Lots of tables. Lovely on a summers day. Very good choice of beers on offer. Pizzas are a must. Lots of other families enjoying the weather and beers!!

In the area, visiting family, and found this pub with a play area for our three girls. The setup is great and the food was fantastic. I normally think the kids meals are a bit rubbish, but these were great - just as good quality as the main menu (which was also brilliant). Will be trying to convince the family to go here when we're next visiting.

Far exceeded my expectations! Portion quality and appearance was a good notch above most pub grub and the service was perfect, Super friendly, super helpful. Also; if staying at the Mercure, avoid their restaurant at all cost and come here (it’s a complete scam, terrible food, nasty overpriced wine, rude service and stupidly expensive). After that experience we were really relieved to find The Stag’s Head! We’ll be back!

Really good pub, great range of well kept Thornbridge ales and great food, my wife says their Sunday roast is the best pub roast she's ever had, I had their burger which was fantastic. Highly recommended.

A pub with good beer- Thornbridge and you can buy third of a pint drinks. Playground to keep children busy and the pizza oven was fired up when we went( Saturday night). Husband said the toilets were very grim.
