Arrived at 6.30 and the place was very quiet only few customers eating. All the staff smiled and said hello , they Immediately pointed out that the kitchen was closing early and apologised, but were happy to put our order through. Two of us order different types of steak. My sizzling strips were tender and cooked perfectly. The onions and peppers are frozen so not a great deal of flavour in them , adding salt helps. Lovely fresh side salad and I tried the Mexican pasta. This was very mayo covered not overly exciting . However I have had a lot worse and the chefs are following company menus. The other steak was again well cooked and presented accompanied with fries, mushrooms, onion rings peas. A very filling tea. The pub has a great variety of seating to suit everyone, from individual to large family. Nicely decorated and very clean pub. All the staff were friendly

Drakehouse Mill is your slightly better than typical Hungry Horse. Pub grub prices with matching food and environment. Never had any complaints with the food when we're in the mood for the no frills hearty pub classics. Waiting time can be a little longer than usual, past few times it's been down to staffing shortage when we asked - but nothing too crazy or off putting. Decent layout with plenty of nooks and crannies for a semi-private feel when your eating, never tend be be sat on top of others. Staff always seem friendly enough, again, no frills. Will likely keep popping back now and again.

Been her a few times over the years and had really good and really bad experiences. Most recent being one of the best visits. Seems staff actually want to help customers and the service really shows this. Previously you could be stood at bar waiting whilst they finish discussing their personal lives and swearing as if they were in their own homes, no regard for customers. The current bunch of staff are so much more polite, courteous and make sure nothing is too much. Food is of a much higher quality than it used to be. Hot, freshly cooked and requests are dealt with quickly and with a smile! Current manager clearly knows what he wants from the pub and his staff and this shows in spades. Atmosphere in the pub is relaxed and inviting! Keep it up guys, see you again soon 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Review: Drakehouse Mill - Crystal Peaks Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Drakehouse Mill in Crystal Peaks is a popular dining spot that offers a cozy and friendly environment, perfect for a meal with family, friends, or a special occasion. With a diverse menu of hearty British fare, guests are sure to find something to satisfy their taste buds. The menu at Drakehouse Mill is extensive, featuring traditional British favourites such as fish and chips, steaks, and Sunday roasts, alongside a selection of burgers, salads, and vegetarian options. Portions are generous and the food is consistently well-prepared, with quality ingredients and appealing presentation. One of the standout features of Drakehouse Mill is its inviting atmosphere. The decor is rustic and charming, with wooden beams, stone walls, and warm lighting, creating a homely and comfortable setting. In addition, the outdoor seating area is a lovely spot to enjoy a meal or a drink when the weather is fine. The staff at Drakehouse Mill deserve special mention for their friendly and attentive service. They are always ready to offer a warm welcome, provide menu recommendations, and ensure that guests have everything they need for a pleasant dining experience. Despite its many positive aspects, there are minor areas for improvement. During peak hours, wait times for food can be a bit longer than expected, and the noise level can get a bit high due to the restaurant's popularity. However, these are minor concerns in an otherwise excellent establishment. In summary, Drakehouse Mill earns a solid 4-star rating for its hearty and tasty food, charming ambiance, and friendly service. It is a lovely place to enjoy a meal and offers good value for money. Whether you're a local or just passing through Crystal Peaks, Drakehouse Mill is definitely worth a visit.

We have been this evening to celebrate a special birthday. We were a large party and the staff were fantastic. Pre ordered meals were all correct, boiling hot and all served together. Thank you so much for such a lovely evening and lovely food. The service and staff were great thank you ☺️

came here for food with my partner, we really enjoyed it as we don’t really adventure out. but after shopping around crystal peaks, we came in for food. the meal for £5 was absolutely fantastic and the food was delicious. also on the £5 deal there is puddings so we treated ourselves to a candy mania. thank you for the perfect service!

Lovely pub well worth a visit, me and the wife visited on Tuesday and had the loveliest experience. Laura was attentive friendly and gave exceptional service. The food was fantastic and the dessert was just as satisfying. Little busy for Tuesday night and the bar staff could be a little friendlier but wouldn’t rate it any less for that reason as we had a great evening. Staff dealt well with an awkward customer who sat in close proximity the ourselves and remained professional at all times so I’d highly recommend going and giving this place a try you’ll not be disappointed.
