Regularly visit for a meal with family and love the service and food. Recently tried their new midweek Wednesday carvery and it was absolutely amazing! One if the best I've had in a long time. Definitely worth a visit if you not had carvery yet. Meat was top notch and plenty of trimmings. Always friendly staff and a warm welcome.

Visited this place today as I wanted a traditional Sunday dinner, when we arrived I was disappointed the lunch was now served as a carvery. Howether I had the carvery as it looked delicious and was all home cooked and it was fabulous. The staff are polite, helpful and very accommodating. A particular staff member that stood out to us was called Kirsty she was so helpful and nothing was any trouble.

Great pub atmosphere, full of friendly well mannered locals, many with fussy friendly dogs. I don't have dogs myself, I share my house with cats, but I grew up with dogs and very much like them and they seem to like me too; this gets me into conversations with their owners. Beer choice is very good and some of the wines are excellently chosen to accompany the various tasty dishes of food; try the Malbec! The food menu has some interesting takes on Yorkshire grub as well as the usual Tex-Mex, NYC, and Southern States fried chicken, with Indian inspired Veg and Vegan curries. I don't have a 'sweet-tooth' but the pudding (or desert) course menu seems pretty good.

We called in on the off chance and got a nice table for 6 people. The food was good, nice and hot and generous portions. Service was timely and efficient. Good value and well worth a return visit.

We didn't stay for food, but popped in for a drink at the end of a walk over the Xmas break. It was lively but not too busy, and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. The Christmas decorations made the quiet spot we found very cosy and cute. There is a cheaper pub not far away, but I'd happily still call at both again.
