The Sheaf Island Wetherspoons

We often use this as a meeting point. It's on the outskirts of town which means parking is closer (paid) The hot drinks can be refilled all day, which is really good if you're on a budget. The meals came with a drink included, and you can pay a bit extra for an alcoholic drink if you want. Meals are a reasonable price and filling. Good as a rest stop for a quick drink or for an evening out.

Decided to have a crafty lunch in Wetherspoons with the missus. We both ordered the small fish n chips with mushy peas. After placing our order via the App, our drinks arrived shortly afterwards followed by our meals. Usual prompt service. Although we both ordered small fish, one appeared to be too small, looking like the tail end of a larger fish. Chips looked slightly anemic but tasted okay. Mushy peas were a tad lacking in taste, but edible. There was no black pepper available, but all other condiments were. For drinks, we had a white wine and one all you can drink coffee mug. The decor seems a tad worn in places and I’m guessing the place could be due for a revamp. Toilets were okay but one sink was covered with plastic and there was water splashed around in places. Might go back but definitely prefer the one in the city centre.

Me and my friend absolutely loved this pub, particularly appreciating the designs representative of Sheffield's steel heritage! There are other fantastic features like replica trees and beautiful lights inside, where I was served by lovely staff that recognized my cocktail voucher promptly. We sat outside to relax with a quality pitcher of the Hawaiian Punch, finding the area clean even with it being outdoors!
