Had a really wonderful ploughmans and tea here. Such fresh ingredients, very generous portions, and lovely atmosphere and surroundings. Highly recommend it - will defintely be returning to try their afternoon tea!
Treated to a meal for a friends 60th. Now sitting with 23 very happy and satisfied people. Cracking atmosphere, nice surroundings, delicious meals all polished off with relish. My choice was the Salmon en croute which I would highly recommend to anyone.
Thanks for all the hard work and effort very much appreciated 👍
Good to see a system of sanitising tables in place here...a card placed on vacated table saying it is about to be cleaned etc, but staff verbally communicating to say they won't be a minute was missing. We just popped in for scones with jam and cream and a coffee and ginger beer. Fruit scones nice but zapped slightly too long in microwave before delivery. Hot steaming scones are strange, warmed scones like they were cooked not long ago better. Clotted cream nice and jam nice.
Had a afternoon stop in a very quaint Tea shop called Mrs Brown's. The service was good and the tea and cake was good.
The Town is also very quirky.
Some lovely shops.
We were looking for a quick bite for lunch, probably a sandwich… ok, so a hot and hearty old fashioned pie, mash and veg, plus a farm sized ploughman’s lunch later, we could barely move.😂 Delicious fresh home cooked food, don’t be daunted by the small kitchen, it must be a Tardis really. Excellent!
Quaint tearooms in centre of Shipston On Stour. Excellent food & service. Decor inside not as quaint as exterior suggests and the large sheets of glass on the table tops with the menus underneath looks a bit tacky - I understand its done for ease and easy cleaning but detracts from the oldy-worldy tearoom image Could be a real character place inside. Highly recommended for the food & service.
Nice find staff very friendly nice menu reasonable priced had full English everything cooked Nice great place to watch world go by from outside seating dog friendly to lovely place lovely town
Lovely quick service, nice cake and coffee, a good place for a sit down and chat with lots of space around the tables
We arrived on a busy Saturday for lunch, greeted warmly and promised a table would be free for us in a few minutes.
We chose the homemade soup with cheese scone and also soup with sandwich to share. Our tea was presented in teapots which they also sell. We couldn't resist the homemade cakes on offer either.
All food was delicious and service was excellent.
Wouldn't hesitate to return when next in the area.
A real Cotswolds gem.
Excellent stop for my cycling club at Mrs Browns - accommodated seven of us without fuss and delivered some excellent breakfasts quickly. Would definitely return!
