Giftos Lahore Karahi

Great welcome at the door. Directed to my host's table. I asked the host (of Pakistan heritage) to order for me. My only requests were for lamb chops (for which Gifto's is renowned) and make everything else 'authentic'. Turns out that authentic meant great roti and no rice. The food was fantastic. Of course there was rice on the menu and if that's your thing . . . . go for it.

Anyone looking for hijama/cupping search up @AfterHoursCupping A lot of people i know love giftos, the food is tasty, staff a general alright. When we went today we wait a long time before food was served to us. Apart from that service was good. The chutney they give dose not have much flavour to it.

Had a family dinner there. Lovely place with great ambience and really tasty food at a very reasonable price. Very efficient, friendly and helpful staff. You really feel at home. Food quality and quantity was very good, even we couldn't finish the whole food and very kindly they provided us free food containers to take the remaining food home.

I had my wedding at this location, the service was great, the food was lovely, especially the starters. I would highly recommend doing a small (or big), function, the owner of the place Salim was prompt, kind, welcoming, nice, friendly, always thinking of you if you need anything, if anything needs changing or adding and if you are okay. Nothing we difficult or hard for him to deliver. I enjoyed the experience, I need to thank everyone who played a part, helping and ensuring food was on point and delivered, timing was kept for food, dessert, and cake. Slightly had a few errors with the speakers turning off (Bluetooth) but we all helped fix it couple of times! The lamb was slightly hard and had a lot of fat, I suggest please do not use lamb which has fat and please ensure the lamb is always soft. It was changed promptly and there was no issue with the staff to help deliver. Other than that everything was great and lovely had a great Nikha and every one of my guests loved the event. Very happy! Thank you Salim Bhai, for making my Nikha so lovely and rememberable.

I've been going for years. One of the best tandoori chickens and grilled food I've had. The restaurant has been running for a long time and the waiters are experienced and been there for a while too. The cleaning should be improved though. Not just the general restaurant area but toilets etc. It's been opened for so long and always busy, they should improve and upgrade but anyway you won't be disappointed with the food. A safe choice when shopping in Southall.

The food from here is generally nice. I came to open my fast here and got full very quick as the food can be very rich. This time around I was not a fan of the butter chicken as it was more mild but everything else was fine. The only thing that put me off were the people sitting next to us who were very rude to the servers and referred to them as just “kitchen staff” and complained that they do not understand Punjabi. Mam not every Asian person understands Punjabi some people speak Tamil etc there are a variety of different languages. Please have some respect for servers.

Tawa keema and peshwari naan were completely exceptional. Peshwari naan was dusted and blended with the typical sweet accoutrements rather than just a filling and the tawa keema was juicy and teeming. Similarly the bhaji and yoghurt were standout. Lamb chops were disappointing given Gifto's legendary status otherwise wouldn't complain. Had an uninspiring braised texture for a grilled chop. Venue was pleasant large hall and loved the exterior. Made a decent excursion for this meal and given the standout dishes was definitely worthwhile.

My family have been going here since before I was born, and it never fails to disappoint. The saag and lamb chops are the highlights for me, but everything is delicious. I can safely say it is the best Indian restaurant I have been to in London. It can get very busy so it's worth arriving early-ish for dinner.
