It was a recommendation from our hosts. And we were really not disappointed. We were 2 adults and an 8 year old child. Absolutely family-friendly, really great. Great service, which started with the reservation. Top food and a cosy ambience. If we lived here, we would come more often. A little tip: it makes sense to reserve a table in advance.

This is a charming country pub, a bit off the beaten track, so check your directions carefully. It has modern decor with lots of outdoor seating, too. The menu is not extensive, which means cooked to order rather than taken from a large freezer and thrown in a microwave. The staff were friendly. Attached is the lunch menu for 5 June 2023.

The food and the hospitality was fantastic, I highly recommend and look forward to coming back. I travel around England for work and am always eager to sort out good local pubs, this place didn't disappoint. Support local businesses!

So I've had two Sunday great beef roast dinners here in the past couple of months. Very friendly staff and super busy so obviously doing well!! The only critic I have is that the tiny jug of gravy given is definitely not enough! I had to ask for a second jug of gravy and even that wasn't enough! My partner commented that there was a fair bit of fat on his beef however mine was very tender so guess it was pot luck that day! (Also the picture was taken before the veg was brought out)

Had an Excellent evening with colleagues. We were looked after by Mark and his team who ensured that we had constant flow of drinks and food come in at the right pace. As you can see food looked and tasted good.

Stumbled upon this absolute gem of a pub on Sunday. We went for the Sunday Roast and my goodness it did not disappoint. My husband chose beef and I went for the lamb and it was lush. The roast potatoes were the best I've ever eaten out, super crunchy on the outside and fluffy and gorgeous on the inside, and the Yorkshire Pudding was light, airy and crunchy. The veg was lovely too. The cauliflower cheese was divine. It was a busy Sunday lunchtime but the service was swift, and the food was piping hot. We didn't go for a dessert as we were both full and did think they were a tad pricy at £8 a pop. We will definitely be back for more - the wood fired pizza oven looks incredible and I can't even share pics of the roast as we gobbled the grub so quickly! Yum!

WOW! We were here last night for my daughters birthday meal. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, we were completely overwhelmed with the service and the experience that we received. The staff are exceptional. Excellent customer service. They couldn’t do enough for us. They even had a birthday card on the table for my daughter which was a lovely touch. The food was incredible. Everything about this place is amazing. The atmosphere, the cleanliness, the staff.. the list could go on. They even had a live singer last night who had a brilliant voice. Thank you so much for giving us the perfect evening. We will definitely be returning.

Great food, staff, decor, space, service. Just a fantastic place. My husband is a fussy eater but he could not stop raving about the food. There is a play area for children, an outside pizza kitchen, dog friendly, the place is just perfect. If we lived locally we would be regulars. Well done to all staff. Chef deserves recognition.

Modern cuisine and decor in a village pub. We were a large party and were asked to send our order in advance. Food came promptly but we weren't in any way rushed. All dietary requirements were met.

I can only describe our Sunday lunch as a really lovely experience, friendly attentive staff and beautifully cooked and presented food. One of our party has a dairy allergy which was catered for without fuss. We will definitely be returning. The chef is a genius for putting together the ingredients for the vanilla ice cream. Highly recommend 👌!!
