Pink Door Cake Company

I came here on the recommendation of a nearby friend after the one a little bit further away couldn't be heard due to my sister screaming about her affliction. Anyway, I came here and saw that the door was pink, so I knew I was in the right place or lucky... The cakes were made in a way that is similar to the way a cake is usually expected to be made and tasted like cakes should. What was better was the pink.

This quaint little cake shop is almost hidden but you can discover it in the alleyway next to the Southampton branch of Halifax in city centre. The interior is simple yet welcoming and I also loved the simple menu. The aesthetic of the place is really nice and a great place to grab some cake. There is not much space to sit and eat inside, so more suitable for a takeaway. The staff was friendly and was able to serve quickly as the place wasn't busy when we visited. The only reason I'm rating it a 4 star is because of the price. I felt the cupcakes were a little smaller compared to how much they were selling for. But perhaps it's justified given how everything is increasing in price. Nonetheless, the cakes were delicious and melted in the mouth. Will surely visit again.

Just off the main shopping precinct, a lovely relaxed coffee shop, I had a delicious caramel latte and a Biscoffe cup cake, sat outside in the sun, it was so delicious I ordered a selection of cupcakes to take home. The lady serving was pleasant and attentive. This is my second visit and I’m so pleased to have found this hidden gem, happy to recommend

The brownies are literally so amazing! The look amazing, they are so soft and chocolatey. Really nice little shop. It looks lovely and clean and welcoming. Nicely decorated. It really is a takeaway place. I will defiantly recommend and come back. Just some feedback, it would be be nice to have the option to not have disposable cups and bags when eating in. Also there were no knives at all so the brownies are very messy! And serviettes would have been good.

I had been to this wonderful cake shop a couple of times just to get a nice treat for myself and my colleague. Then we thought of doing a cupcake themed event at our student accommodation building and knew exactly where to order from. For an order of 110 cupcakes, the entire process from quote to sale to collection to eating, was 5 star perfection. Professional, friendly, competent, no negatives from us. Thanks so much!
