Excellent find. Quiet location. Fantastic valley views.Rooms well appointed with everything you would need for an overnight stay. Including a fridge with bottled water and unexpected, small continental breakfast.Would definitely recommend. Small points to at for owners. Room was very hot, despite radiator being off. We were not comfortable leaving whole patio door open overnight. No fan in room. Bathroom extractor fan was not working, despite bathroom being well appointed & spotlessly clean. Good quality towels. A tastefully appointed room, great value for money. Thanks.

I stayed here for one night at the weekend and was extremely pleasantly surprised by the quality of both the room and the facilities for the price I paid. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was fab, and the little breakfast selection was much appreciated! I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Rooms are decent size for couple or solo traveller. Bathrooms are nice and modern. TV signal is a bit temperamental and the WiFi doesn’t appear to be too strong, but not enough of an issue to be a problem. The restaurant was shut when I was there. As it is located out of town, it means getting food or drink is driving distance. The views outside were amazing. I imagine the outdoor seating area would be incredible during the summer. The hill going up to the hotel is not for the faint hearted. You have to stop at a T junction just before the peak and my word…the only way I can describe it is that my balloon knot was puckering more than a thousand goldfish trying to hill start on it. The pictures don’t do it justice tbf. But great stay.

Be prepared for the steep drive up to the hotel from Sowerby Bridge, it’s not for the faint hearted! Lovely welcoming staff right from first arriving and throughout our stay. Rooms are well appointed, not very large but plenty big enough for a few nights stay. It’s nice if you can get one of the rooms in the new block with a balcony, as there are great views and the late afternoon sun. If you intend to eat in the restaurant I would recommend reserving your table early. Unfortunately we didn’t do this one day and when trying later in the afternoon, all the timings that we would have preferred were fully booked. We were a little disappointed with the evening meal. Although nicely presented they were nothing special for the price. There is a good selection at breakfast, a choice of several cereals, fruit, yoghurts and a buffet style selection of bacon, sausage, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans, hash browns and toast.

The staff are second to none nothing is too much trouble , they seem to go that extra mile to make you stay very special. My husband booked this little break for my 65 birthday before the celebrations begin , and no better place could he have picked. I would like to thank Vicky and lovely staff for making our stay so xtra special . Thank you so very much Vicky and team Linda x
