What a fab local Marshalswick restaurant. Food was absolutely excellent and they catered for my gluten free diet well. Everyone really enjoyed their food and the waiters looked after us so we’ll be back. 4 stars reflects that you didn’t have gf dips to go with your gf poppadums - if you can do a raita and mango chutney gf then that’s got to be worth a 5 star!

Good atmosphere for 18:30 on a Friday. Service was top notch, couldn't fault the friendly staff very welcoming and knowledgeable of the menu. Food was a step above your normal Indian restaurant. Overall fantastic definitely going back would recommend to any curry lover.

What a great find! The food was absolutely delicious and they were more than happy to recommend and accommodate my spicy request. Service was prompt and friendly, great lighting and music to create an atmosphere that was uplifting and most enjoyable. Ordered my first curry from nouvelle, I only have 1 regret and that is, why have I not ordered from here before!!!!, food is amazing, the taste is authentic and fresh. Staff are polite and friendly, the restaurant itself is decorated very professionally, felt warm and welcoming. All the guest seemed to be having a good time and enjoying their food too. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a good evening along with quality food, see you soon nouvelle 🔥👊🏼🤤

I don't understand a comment about staff behaviour being bad. This is one of the very best points about Nouvelle Lounge. The staff are lovely to talk to and one can learn a lot about Bangladeshi food and culture talking to them. The food and ambience are great too!!

After an 8 mile hike with my dog I was way too tired to cook so I decided I would take myself out for dinner. I had planned to go to Davero for dinner as I Know the owner. However after having to park further away than normal this beautiful restaurant caught my eye, it was then in there that I decided that I would be having Indian food for dinner, which isn't really Indian food it's beautiful and delicious Bangladeshi food. I walked in and was greeted with huge warm smiles showing to a table and the conversation just flowed, I really enjoyed chatting to the gentleman waiters, especially about the fact that they were serving a beautiful Spanish Tempranillo red wine as the house wine!
I was very with the food I'm having lived in St Albans for many years, I have tried every restaurant and every takeaway. The food was fresh beautifully prepared and the meat.
I will most definitely be returning to this restaurant as I cannot find anything negative to say about my experience which was completely impromptu, although I would advise anybody to not do what I did and just turn up I would say that it would be best to book a table as they get very busy and it's very easy to see why they get so busy because this is a lovely lovely dining experience!
