The best bagels not just in Sussex, but in the UK! I am someone who is a little hard to please when it comes to food so trust me when I say The Sleeper is where you have to go for your bagels. Topnotch Salt Beef - perfect match with the Monterrey Jack Cheese and the gherkins and mustard complete the magic. Great stuff!

I will often get off a stop early coming back from london to Hastings on a Friday to grab a bagel for my lunch before I walk along the seafront home. You cannot fault the craft and service sleeper provides. You can tell everything from the food to the bag it goes into has been well thought out. Bravo team 👏🏼

Just like the previous reviewer, I came back 2 days running as the bagels were the most delicious I have eaten - and I have been a bagel devotee for many years. Starting with the bagels: home baked, light but with bagel density at the same time. A range of savoury and sweet. I opted for seeded 'Everything' and everything it was. Day one, I had the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel. High quality fish and no average cream cheese. It was topped with what I think are fried capers, so it hit a salty flavour filled bite. Excellent. Day two, I went for Italian sausage with fried onions (crispy, light, nothing greasy here) on an Everything bagel. Excellent. I spent a happy couple of mornings here, working, eating bagels and drinking Sleeper's very good coffee. The staff are charming and the atmosphere is the best of St. Len's. Every single customer who I saw come and go exclaimed about how tasty the food is - do you need more encouragement to try a Sleeper bagel experience? I leave today but will be back for more next time I am sea-siding here.

Visited whilst on holiday in St Leonards last week. The bagels were so delicious we had to go back again the next day! The smoked salmon & cream cheese with crispy capers & red onion is honestly one of the best bagels I have ever tasted (and I've lived in North London in the past). Absolutely delicious and overflowing with filling! The coffee was really good too. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Hands down, the bast bagels I have had (and I am a regular at Beigal Bake on Brick Lane, so this is really saying something). The everything bagel with apple and fennel slaw was outstanding. Spoke at length to the owner - absolutely loved her enthusiasm and commitment to the art of baking, WHAT A FIND!!
