The Greyhound Inn

A nice meal, but the beef was quite tough for a £12 meal. The potato was nice (which I ordered instead of fries). Had to go to the bar to get served. It can be quite noisy, and I struggled to find a place that would be suitable for me and my dad, who has hearing aids, to sit without speakers playing music, which interrupt his hearing.

Excellent food, reasonable prices & good selection. Sunday carvery is fab 👌 Easy to find, good parking, friendly helpful staff. Would give it 5 stars but place could do with a link of paint, it's looking a bit tired especially the conservatory area. But don't let that put you off, it's a good place to eat & meet up. Been twice now, will go again defo.

The food ingredients you can tell are high quality., steaks etc, However my steak was cooked wrong, ordered medium rare, served medium to well, peas totally overcooked to mush, jacket ok, pet hate rock hard butter, friends steak also overcooked, cajun poorly seasoned, peas overcooked and chips cold and cooked too many times or old oil, no check back, pepper sauce was homemade, served 1 sauce tried to charge for two, pretty sure the main chef was either on a break or day off, dared to mention the missing sauce and overcooked chips and got nothing but attitude, I expect the food standard drop was a rarity, but the attitude is not acceptable

We got the ploughman's dinner and the hunters with a side of mushrooms. For pudding warm chocolate cake with custard but asked for it separate which they did no problems and the treacle cake with custard. The food was filling and plenty the pudding was lovely the chocolate cake I thought would be thick and sickly but it was lovely soft and the sponge was light. Plenty of room between tables staff friendly. We also got 3 large soft drinks. Cost us £40 for the lot can't argue with that.
