Fabulous pub/restaurant. Had an amazing meal here. Great value for the price, the food was so tasty and enjoyable. The restaurant is bright, light, and we'll appointed. The menu is big enough to give you enough choice but small enough to give you the confidence that it's all freshly cooked and we'll thought out. We will definitely be going back!

A new restaurant for me, I popped in to meet a friend for a lovely lunch catch-up. Plenty of parking accros the road.
Friendly and welcoming staff on arrival.
Not a huge menu, but good selection. We had good service and the food was hot and tasty.
What sets this place apart is their ever changing menu. Every Time we visit there's something new and exciting to try. So far, every dish we've sampled has been consistently excellent and we've never left disappointed. Maybe an area for improvement could be the presentation of the dishes. While the food is delicious, the visual appeal of the plates could be further enhanced. Overall I highly recommend this place and we will surely return soon :)
My visit was a week after mother's day (not silly).3 gen. Treat for mum mum, wife mum & daughter mum for Sunday lunch which was very good quality: thanks chef.
Liked staff attention who were always there when you needed them. Trusted recommendation, and will return even though not local
Charlotte is a star, she was a perfect host. I cannot speak highly enough of her service. Thank you.
It's been a few years since I've visited the crown and it felt completely different this time. Friendly staff and exceptional food, a stark difference to my last visit. Thanks!
Firstly to say the food, service and staff were excellent. We went mid week for lunch so it’s to be expected that it would be very quiet, especially as there early week offers are on Mondays and Tuesdays I think .
Downside -Their play list of music could have been much improved upon as could the stench (strong drain smell) and toilet seats that are in desperate need of some attention ( require adjustment along with the sticky horrid tables that need a sand and re varnish. It would though not stop us visiting again. I hope the minor issues that add to the experience can be sorted.
Popped into the beer garden with the dog on the way home. Staff were all fantastic and we had a couple of light bites off the menu which were excellent. The Sunday roasts looked gorgeous and we will be returning to try them. Great little find
Very pleasant ambiance, fantastic food, friendly and welcoming staff, plus dog friendly, and in a picturesque area! Truly recommend!
Lovely pub/restaurant, especially in summer sat outside, magnificent view. Amazing friendly staff and management. I highly recommend this establishment for great food along with good selection of drinks. Very efficient service, spotlessly clean, always wiping surfaces. Incredible meals which can be had inside or outside, overlooking the wonderful veiws.
I came here with my dad for father's day. The booking system was easy to use but I had to pay a £5 deposit pp which I'd reasonable.
We were a bit disappointed that we had to wait 25 minutes for the table, even though it had been booked. I felt a little ignored just stood at the bar but i understand it was busy.
We went for a 3 course - I had squid which was amazing and dad had the wings. They even came with a little finger bowl which was a nice touch.
Mains we had a roast which was mediocre, lots of meat which was nice but I ended up taking it home - could definitely reduce this!
The pudding pictured was a bakewell slice and it was phenomenal. The presentation of all 3 meals was second to none and this definitely made a difference.
Sadly, there was no hand soap in the bathroom but there was moisturiser. Generally the luxuries were catered for but some of the basics weren't there.
Either way, I would certainly recommend this pub. The Talbot set an exceptional standard and I can see this being on its way to hitting it! Worth a visit 💕
