We popped in for a drink, what a great place to sit and watch the waves. Friendly atmosphere, we didn't eat but the food looked awesome. Dog friendly. We wanted to go back but it was closed. Never mind, we'll make a visit next time we are in the area.

To our shame and disappointment this was the first time we've been. We've just taken ownership of a dog and now rediscovering parts of Sunderland. Great place in a great location. This is now one of our destination eateries.

Father's big birthday. Great walk first and then some food here. Large table we were all able to fit was a huge bonus. Good food

Lovely pub right on the beach. Good choice of drinks on tap. Every food option I've had is really good - especially the breakfast burrito 🌯

We ended up here with two very hangry (but picky) 6 year olds who weren’t used to eating out. We went in quietly dreading what we were sure would be a nightmare on a busy summer afternoon but we all came away happy, full and with a lovely family first. The children were well catered for with a good range of food and at reasonable prices. Staff were extremely helpful in accommodating us all and we enjoyed lovely food in a very relaxed (even though it was busy) atmosphere. Since then it’s became our favourite place to go and we’ve returned not only with the children, but with our friends from Essex (who also now love the place and return with us) but also for any birthdays or anniversaries. Service is always excellent and the food delicious in a quirky interior and a well placed location with beach views. Ans they welcome dogs. Would recommend to anyone. ❤️

Had my first date and engagement here with my husband, it's always friendly and well presented, the food is in good portions and quality, I bring everyone here as it's impressive without being ostentatious, I would recommend parking next to STACK and taking the walk along the cliff, it's a good length without being winding, then take the slope down through the park to see the now functioning waterfalln Pictured is the prawn salad.

Cold wet day in the middle of summer, it was a welcome sight following a walk along the beach. Quaint, nostalgic interior. Friendly staff. Coffee and cake advertised £4.50, but little choice other than a cupcake.

Had lunch here today. Went for the rocker deluxe (doubled up). Great tasting burger and plenty of it. Came with a generous portion of enormous chunky chips. I actually struggled to finish it as there was so much. Would definitely recommend but if you aren't super hungry no need to double up!

Great bar in a great location. They have a great outdoor seating area that looks right onto the beach. The pub is dog friendly downstairs and has an upstairs area as well. The food here is good and at a decent price. The staff were really welcoming and canny. A great pub for a summer pint down by the beach!
