I'd not been here before but wanted somewhere central for a meet up with a couple of friends. I couldn't be more happy with everything. Great cozy atmosphere, really nice decor, our waiter was Ryan and he was just lovely, perfect amount of attentiveness without being too much. The food was gorgeous, we all ordered different things and all were fabulous. Particularly recommend the oysters, scallops and hake. Great night all round, will be back very soon 😊
Wow!!!! Dan and the team, put on an amazing party night for my other half Russell to celebrate his 60th birthday, over 100 guests with a zoned area and we partied all night long!
Fab DJ, amazing service from the bar team and nothing was too much trouble. A huge thank you to Ryan, Toby, Finn and James for keeping our friends glasses topped up and a great job too from the Food Crew who we asked to get involved with feeding our guests with a steady stream of delicious pizzas.
It's five stars from us!!!

Great value food with the two-for -£22 mains deal, chips were great, good portion size, burger was really good too. Great service, quick and friendly, every member of staff made an effort to smile and say hello as we walked through the restaurant. The Long Island ice tea was lovely, but the star cocktail was the “Royal Oak” signature cocktail with cucumber, a revelation! Vibe was great, decor was really well done and the music was lovely even before the live band came on - who were amazing! Really talented jazz musicians. Highly recommend this place.
Really nice place to eat. There was a delay upon the starters as that was 45minutes. But you know it was all fresh. She was given a free glass of wine for my other half which was nice. Halloumi and camembert for starters. Surprisingly the camembert was not that salty and the halloumi was bouncy and nice with the sweet honey on it. Mushroom risotto and meat paella. My other half said the risotto was amazing and flavourful. My paella was rich and tasty. The desert was a little let down tasted frozen but was ok. My only main moan was the seat I was on. I was numb at the end but the staff were amazing.
The staff were so attentive and friendly. They went over and beyond to please us. It was my friends birthday and we had a great time. The food was amazing . The place was spotless. I would recommend this place for just drinks or a lovely meal. Either way, you will be treated very well. The owner has got this just right. I would go back in a heartbeat. Dinner with friends on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant was busy and noisy with chat. However, the waitress was extremely friendly and took our order in a timely fashion. The food was nice and we all enjoyed our visit although the noise level from the table close to us could have been turned down, not the fault of restaurant.

WOW WOW and WOW
We received a welcome from Amy that instantly made us comfortable and relaxed in her company.
Our starters were Scallops cooked to perfection and pate and sourdough toasta good sized portion and the toSt was as light as a feather.
In between my starter and main course sofia a you trainee waitress introduced me to Oysters beautiful displayed on a bed of ice with chilled sauces Sofias knowledge was given with a soft friendliness that automatically reassured and encouraged me.
I had the seafood paella and my husband steak with peppercorn sauce.
Both were so delicious and again good sized portions
All the food was so well presented we couldn't wait to tuck in and I forgot to take pictures but I have tried to rearrange my half eaten paella just to give you an idead.
If your looking for a great place for a date night this tiny intimate resturant with great food and amazing service from Amy and Sofia this is the place to go
Or take it over with your large celebration party.
I would highly recommend the oyster bar at the Royal Oak swindon but also recommended booking first during to size

First time after covid restrictions and it felt great. Very helpful staff....especially when there was a problem with my pizza order!(which incidentally was fab!) and amazing selection of gins! Loved being able to try a local gin too (Tickle)
Lush cocktails at the Royal Oak 2 for £10 bargin😋Passionfruit Martini a must xx We booked a table and the pub is covid compliant. Staff very friendly. Pitza list looked fab and they do gf too so will be back to try them xx
Just went in tonight after hearing some good comments! Jazz night was a surprise but really good! The food was outstanding! Loved the evening and experience!!
