Lovely food served piping hot and very tasty. We had the Scampi and a burger. Both were good. Only downside was a customer with a Very Loud voice and laugh, but nothing to do about that 🥴

As an expat Tike it war really good to ave a warm Yorkshire welcome in warm Yorkshire pub!! We are staying in Thornton for a two week holiday and The Buck came recommended and it was well worth it!! They keep a good pint and the food is cracking! I had what amounted to a shoal of whitebait wi a side of rabbit grub and it war chuffin brilliant!! Will be going back again and again without doubt!! (Good job it's within walking distance from where we're staying!) So, to all at The Buck, a very very big thankyou, top job!

Such a pretty little pub , service and welcome was top notch and great choice of drinks. We will return on our next visit to Pickering

Had a delicious veggie Sunday roast here. Lots of tables and the staff were all really friendly and attentive. It had a busy and popular vibe. Dog friendly and some nice old features still in the pub.

The meals we chose was a homemade vege burger, home made chips with side salad, must say it was the nicest vege burger I have tasted, food presented nicely,staff friendly!! Observed other customers meals all looked very good!!

Fabulous Sunday Lunch - The Gravy was really good full of flavour the meat was cooked to perfection and the red cabbage was delicious - I loved that they bought extra gravy with my meal that was a nice touch - friendly staff.
