Great small village pub, beautiful surroundings, lovely outside seating in large wooded area at the side of the pub. Sports on TV available inside.

Lovely little pub. The food here is fantastic and reasonably priced. Called in here a few times and was served quickly with no issues. Car park is a little small but they also have a huge beer garden and a smoking hut outside. Will definitely be visiting again

Looking for a nice takeout which would be different from the usual Maxi’s Denby Dale and within the local area. Really nice food, the service was quick and the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable whilst we waited. Definitely eating in next time.

Brilliant food, utterly delicious. Friendly staff, and a beautiful historic pub. Outdoor seating and a play area for the kids. Love this place.

Wonderful little venue. Great food served in a modern twist of the traditional village pub. You may want to book a table at peak times to avoid disappointment!

Food was really good and so was the beer. The poor young lad serving was running about like mad tho, had to wait a bit for our first drink. If the owners are reading, this is a really really good place but please have a permanent person behind the bar. It's advertised as a craft beer establishment, but if you walk in for a drink and no one is there to serve you won't stay.

Very good north amaerican comfort food. Very tasty and in huge quantity for a good price. I would surely recommend that place for a stop. Only downside was the weird playlist and slow service.

We visited the old George and dragon with our grandchildren who are 2 and 4. The food was mainly chicken or burgers which suited our situation perfectly. The children enjoyed chicken strips and the adults enjoyed the variety of generously portioned burgers. The food was of good quality. Staff were lovely with the children and didn't panic when a blue slush puppy was spilt. The whole group ate well and we really got good value for money.
