Redbeck Cafe And Motel

Sadly, I only heard of this place following rumours it was to close. I've always wanted to have a 24 hour diner nearby and it turns out there was one sort of local. They no longer do a veggie lasagna due to lack of demand but I had a very tasty cheese and onion quiche with chips and beans followed by raspberry pie with custard. The diner had a steady flow of customers and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Will come here again to try the roast dinner. Came back to try the veggie roast dinner. It was very tasty although sadly they don't do any vegetarian gravy. All the gravy they make from stock so its good news for the meat eaters. Friendly helpful staff despite the amount of customers.

I’ve stayed at redbeck a few times but haven’t been for a year due to illness mostly.i finally managed to get there the day before Xmas Eve was going to see my friends in ackworth on the Sunday.i treated myself to a single room with shower it was really lovely the bed was lovely and comfortable and lots of hot chocolat sachets in the room yum yum I had my hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream a lady did for me.that was gorgeous.then disaster struck.an absyss came up on my tongue I was in agony in the early hours.i phoned 111 and they said I had to travel home to north Yorkshire so they could get me an emergency dentist so that was that.i couldn’t eat a nice fried breakfast cos it hurt so bloody much.they done me scrambled egg which I managed to get down.the best thing about redbeck for me is the staff.theyre so friendly and accommodating.yes of course there are posher places to stay but I don’t do posh.i go on my own to redbeck so it’s really important that I feel comfortable there.and I really do.plus the juke box is free.i headed back to North Yorkshire about five am didn’t see my friends in ackworth so basically I spent out on a room for myself for absoloulutely nothing haha.mum said to me.oh just class it as xmas treat for yourself so I did.i plan on going to redbeck again ASAP when I got the cash cos I am desperate to see my friends from ackworth then hopefully stay there once a month there’s nowhere else I would rather stay.
