Just spent six months holiday in Wakefield Yorkshire coming from Queensland Australia and was a regular at the newly renovated Magnet Hotel lupset.I will say what a great renovation the pub has had and also good beer from the hosts Andy and Claire Bower,yes I was magnetised at the Magnet and what a great night Friday,Saturday and Sunday .From Tom Robinson Gold Coast QLD Australia

First visit on Saturday 6th May 2023. Management and staff were amazing. Clean and welcoming environment. Huge outdoor space for families / parties etc. Locals are a great bunch of people. Beer is spot on and karaoke night was so much fun. Highly recommended.

Haven't been in this pub for ages, since years ago it's been well decorated throughout and feels clean. The bar staff were friendly and the beers were good. I had Guinness and my mates had lager and bitter. Played good music and had good TVs We were watching some football . Didn't feel clicky but did get the odd look from some regulars I think they were just curious. Didn't feel threatened. Never went to toilets but if anything like the rest of the pub would think there ok. Overall a nice pub would definitely go again ,we called in on Thursday but think with the sound system which was good they probably play some good tunes that sound good over the weekend. So probably give it a go to see if it's more lively

This pub is probably the best in Wakefield! Since its renovation there is such a great atmosphere. The staff are lovely too 🤍

Haven't been here for years and thought I would give it a try. Wasn't disappointed brilliant for watching sport with TV'S on every wall so had a choice of 3 screen in which to watch football. Recently priced drinks and very friendly staff and will definitely go again. Highly recommend

Had a decent couple of pints of John Smith's. There was a reunion happening on Saturday night but turnout want not the best we left before the band fired up as we had a prior arrangement. No trouble, just a friendly atmosphere.
