The Royale

This used to be our favorite Chinese before lockdown and then we were sorely disappointed when we went back. However after trying it again now it is under new management, it is back on top as our favorite!! I'm a real fuss pot when it comes to chicken/meat but both meals were absolutely beautiful. Perfect size portions and beautiful tasting. The young waitress was attentive and made sure that we were enjoying the food. Just a really enjoyable meal. We will definitely be regulars!!

Had 7 dumplings which were hot and tasty, fried rice not too fatty good portion, special duck and prawn meat in an oyster sauce, was OK, felt it was a little bland, also Cantonese style sizzling beef, very tasty with udon noodles. Attentive staff, typical prices, pint of Singha beer and a Chinese tea, just over 50 quid for 2 people. We were passing thru so not sure if we would find come back.

Recently moved to the area and came accross this at first as a takeaway via just eat. We since learned its also a restaraunt and ate inside. Firstly the food has always been superb with a delivery service to match. The staff in the restaraunt are very welcoming and provide a nice relaxed environment. Plenty of free parking to the rear for diners also. Would highly recommend as a restaraunt or takeaway. Keep up the great work. We'll see you soon!

Lovely food - it's my favourite takeaway. Great for vegans. Their mock meats are the best around IMO. I also asked a huge favour of the owner one time to help my wife who was recovering from an operation. He let me place an order a day in advance and delivered out of area, going way above and beyond to ensure it happened, such as coming in early, and even giving extra food as a thoughtful gift to help out. So not only is their food the best around, but they're also awesome people. Support this business! :)

Popped in here for a relaxing late lunch with family. Great service from staff and great tasting food. Those who like a spicy salt and pepper would love the heat of the chillies. Pandan Chicken starter was very nice juicy chicken in aromatic spices deep fried. BBQ was very strong in flavour, the Dry Special Fried Rice had a very good wok flavour and big chunk and meat Finished the meal off with a coffee, wasn't the standard coffee you normally. Highly recommend the Pandan Chicken, special fried rice and the mixed starters 2/4/23 Quick update Highly recommend Sambal Char Siu Fried Rice. It is the best !

What a welcoming place , everyone was lovely, couldn't do enough for our party of 8. The food was excellent and plenty of it too, we didn't feel rushed. Would definitely recommend it, especially for family/friends get together. Sarah our waitress treated us as though we went every week, yet this was our first time in years, and won't be the last.
