We were very pleased with the service of our food and it was really enjoyable we never had any complaints about going to the plough because we always have a family tea there that's why we use the plough so often the staff are always polite and helpful they never hurry us and always ask if everything is ok which it always is the plough is the only place we go for a family meal it's always very enjoyable x

Surprised by all the bad reviews. Me and my boyfriend love The Plough. Our last visit was yesterday, and I commented on how lovely the staff are every time we go. We always have the same thing (even though there are other choices I want to try). We have the double dipped steak; steak glazed in a bbq sauce, mushrooms, onions, onion rings, mac & cheese, and criss cut fries topped with bbq pork brisket. The only thing I would say is I was a bit disappointed to find they had stopped doing the fries topped with nacho cheese and jalapeños that they used to do with it. I loved them!

Good old pub food. Gammon as show in picture is really nice, good quality meat. It stood out from other meals we ordered. The chicken strips were good quality also but plating looked very bland in comparison..tasty though. Lots of items on the menu to choose from, will try again. They also take blue light card if you have

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Scotland. A beautiful village pub. Big car park with overflow parking. Outside seating is nice. Friendly and efficient staff. Drinks and food arrived within 20 minutes. Gammon on skillet and Sunday Roast Beef were delicious and filling, top value for money. We made the right decision to have a nice relaxing meal here rather than the busy motorway services. Locals were also friendly. I will not hesitate stopping here again.

We went here for some afternoon tea and was greeted and given a table quickly. We have visited before a few years back and this time the menu had changed. I had a 16oz rump steak and it was cooked to perfection. The peppercorn sauce was lovely and my kids meals were also terrific. The chefs and owners should be proud of the food. We won't leave it so long to be back next time.

This is my go to! Good hearty food, outdoor space when the weather's good, I went there last night and although I couldn't get through to book a table I literally managed to get a table for 10 inside when I just turned up! It was no problem for the staff, they were so accommodating and friendly? Kids can run riot in the outdoor space and even find the gee gees

I really enjoyed some Italian food at The plough. Friendly staff and a cosy place inside.

A pub with typical pub food and drink options: burgers, fish and chips, fajitas, lasagna, etc. Various themed deals and a two-for-£12 offer that runs most of the week. TVs for viewing sports. The car park is a reasonable size, but fills up even midweek.

Very nice food and well presented pub. Think the food would have been better on a plate rather than a metal tray but aside that 5*'s

The Sunday lunches and fish & chips we had were all very nice indeed and very reasonable prices. Nice choice of beers as well. Slight delay bringing our meals but fine apart from that.
