I finally got to check out this adorable diner and am so glad that I did. My boyfriend and I were promptly seated at the counter and greeted by several of the staff. Our server was lovely and took great care of us. We started with a wonderful seafood chowder and a taste of the she crab soup. Both delicious! After that we shared the lobster pie (Yum!) and lobster grilled cheese. Stuffed and incredibly happy, we took a blueberry pie home. Very reasonable prices, wonderful staff and great food! Even the coffee was delicious! Thanks for a great experience!

Maine diner was constantly busy. When they cleared a table people were standing there to sit down. It was like this the whole hour or more we were there. However service was good. The food was decent but not the best seafood we had along the Maine Coast. The Lobster was a bit chewy and the chowder was not thick more brothy. It was still an enjoyable meal and would certainly recommend trying the Triple D if your a big Guy fan. One of us could not eat all of it though.

This place has reputation of its own. Appeared on several food channels. Food was good, I like it. Lobster pie is a must have and the deserts was delicious. There was also a short wait so perhaps you may want to make a reservation.

We were told it would be a 25-30 minute wait. We ended up waiting 40 minutes. I had the Triple D. Hubby had the fish sandwich. Instead of fish chowder, I had she-crab soup. It was a thick gravy that had a small amount of crab and very little crab flavor. The rest of the Triple D was great. The lobster bake was excellent! Coleslaw and red potato salad were good. The cod fish cake was also tasty. This also came with a moist corn muffin. The market price for the Triple D was $35.99. There was a tremendous amount of food and I couldn't finish it. The quality and quantity of food was well worth the price. Hubby's fish sandwich was great, hot and juicy. The baked beans tasted like someone made a mistake and put too much liquid smoke in the batch.

Not the best place to eat breakfast in the area sadly. Eggs weren't cooked as requested and the meat were overcooked. The pancake was the only saving grace which was quite good. Is probably go back just because the service was quick and the price was reasonable.

We had so much fun here at this spot! The staff is very friendly and it's nicely packed with patrons. Seems to be a very popular spot and I'm sure it's a combination of delicious food and gracious staff. The cod cake Benedict was very special.

We made a stop at Maine diner for lunch on our drive back to Boston. It's recommended to call in advance to be on the list since the wait time seems to take about 30 to 45 minutes depending on time of day. Is it an indoor and outdoor service but we prefer to be seated outdoor. Since this our last day in Maine we've decided to have their award winning seafood chowder together with lobster roll, it was simply epicurean. The chowder was filled with seafood such as lobster, shrimp, scallops and fish while the lobster roll is abundantly filled with lobster meat, no skimping on lobster here. It was a great lunch and they have great customer service. Very convenient for a stop if you are driving through and it was well worth the wait.
