Whilst visiting Goathland popped in twice at this delightful coffee shop and the two sisters serving were delightful, chatty and friendly. The cakes are the best I've ever had, we tried the Victoria sandwich and chocolate and presentation amazing and latte and tea first rate. Loving the rattan new outdoor furniture too. Dog friendly too. See u in July on next visit

Called in today at short notice for Sunday Lunch which was absolutely delicious. We were a party of 4 adults, 1 teenager and 2 children. The staff were so friendly, helpful and welcoming and must be complemented on their service. As stated the meals were superb and great value for money. We can highly recommend the Mallyan Spout if you're in need of a Sunday Lunch! We'll definitely call again when in the area.
What a cozy & quaint hotel. We sadly only had an opportunity to stay the one night, but it was wonderful.
Huge beds, crispy clean bedsheets. Thoughtful extras. The breakfast was utterly delicious, it was a generous portion of quality food, cooked to perfection. 😋
There was absolutely nothing not to love here. The staff were friendly & helpful. Everywhere was clean.

On the walk back from the falls, we had a delightful stop-off at the Coach House Cafe.
A small cafe next door to, and owned by, the hotel, we had excellent cake and drinks.
Tea in a pot! Fab! Decent coffee and excellent hot chocolate.
Just right to dry us out, warm us up and get us back on the road.
We didn't stay over so can't comment on rooms but decor in main bar was plush and very well done. We popped in for a bar meal, we sat outside to start with but got bit chilly, asked if we could move inside and they were very accommodating, finding us a table for 5. Food was delicious and staff were friendly. Will definitely call again.
I would like to say a big big thanks to all the staff for making my parents 50th anniversary so memorable you were all so accommodating, the 8 of us who stayed over were all overwhelmed with how attentive you all were. A big thank you to Jodie who attended to all of us throughout our stay nothing was to much trouble and we all enjoyed the food and service yet again nothing was to much trouble and we were made to feel as if we were home from home. Many thanks to all of you.
Had a lovely stay at the Mallyan Spout on Monday night, it was my 70th birthday and they made it very special. Great room, evening meal good menu, and food was delicious, breakfast, cooked freshly to order.
And its in lovely surroundings, although take mud proof boots if you are planning on walking to see the actual Mallyan Spout waterfall - it's worth the walk though.
Lovely place, stopped here on a motorbike ride with my wife, to see the falls. Good little work out getting down to the falls and back up again. Worked up a good hunger, and good thing the hotel was there. Had the burger, absolutely delicious, and well worth the money. Service was very friendly and didn't have to wait long for our food.
I visited the cafe. The location is lovely. There is seating inside and outside both allowing our family furry friends in. Service is friendly and quick to make sure you have what you ordered. I have been before and the cakes were great. Today the cakes were gritty and sweet. But don’t let that put you off coming to a decision. I am going back 😃
Called in for lunch with my Mum, food was excellent (Thai green curry and salmon caesar salad), very fresh and tasty, large portions. Good menu selection of meals and snacks, coffee shop also on site. Sat outside in the garden, perfect spot for lunch
I’ve stopped here 3 times now and every stay has been fabulous. This is a beautiful country hotel in the centre of Heartbeat Country.
The hotel has a warm welcoming feel, the rooms are very tastefully decorated and the staff are super friendly.
Outside is a spacious garden area with views of open countryside.
