Mr. Petit

We came here for Sunday lunch (along with the dog). I was a bit apprehensive as the place was almost empty around 1.30pm. However, there was no need to be as both meals were delicious. The beef roast dinner was plentiful and fresh and the lamb pie and mash got great reviews too. Not sure why it wasn't busier as it's a nice looking place with good food. We'll be back.

Lovely place and lovely food. Staff very attentive and friendly. Our waitress Demi was fab and really looked after us. Will definitely be returning here soon. So,our 2nd time here this week,and food was fabulous. As were the lovely Demi (again) and Katie, who made it extra special. They were lovely with our Mam and nothing was too much trouble...even taking photos ! Fab staff and great service. Excellent place to dine and drink. Now doggy friendly too !

Mr Petit is a great place to try an array of delicious dishes from around the world. The portion sizes are rather small so it is good to get a few different dishes to share on the table. We thought it was on the expensive side, although everything was delicious. We ordered the bread, which is warm sourdough with whipped butter. Olives, which is a mix of black and green. Pork and chicken crackling. The carnivor and cheese board. Sweet sticky ribs with slaw, lamb brik, king prawns, kedgeree arincini, Mac & cheese and the sambousek cheese. All of this with a bottle of wine, came to about £90. Over all the food was great, the service fab and we would definitely recommend coming!

The food here is really tasty, colourful, fresh, and you can tell it's good quality produce. I especially loved the sambousek cheese: the pastry was really light and fluffy and it had a hint of lemon which was delicious. Great wine list too! The decor is nice and there was a really good atmosphere, with just the right kind of style and volume of music for an evening meal. Will definately go back, so happy it is in Whitley Bay!

An exciting new bar/restaurant with a trendy vibe. Very friendly staff, well designed interior with a loft type look with exposed beams and ducting. Although we did not have food what was presented looked to book of good quality. The selection of drinks seemed to be of a Japanese theme. Would definitely return and probably try the food
