Came here for an afternoon tea for a friends hen do! Amazing! Everyone that came can’t stop raving about how fantastic the food, atmosphere and decor is in the pub! Lovely bar staff, all very accommodating and happy to help! Love it!!
Great pub a village local ,good beers and food , staff very friendly and welcoming .Open fire in winter .Great garden for summer .
My wife and I along with our 5 year old son called in to this pub as we were passing by, quite late and asked if food was available, it was not a busy night and it looked like every one was just relaxing, the owner explained there was only limited food available as they were not really expecting any one to dine there by that time but he was happy to cook something for us, the food was excellent, the portions were generous, and service was prompt and very friendly, I would recommend to anyone, not over priced as so many places. A great steak dinner. Thank you.

We were stuck on the M3 for several hours, and after being able to exit the motorway we decided to call at the Rising Sun as it was advertised on a road sign. We were all welcomed, and Glynn was a fantastic host. Our meals were 100%.
Our dog was also given water and treats .
Unfortunately we left a walking stick behind by accident, but Glynn saved this for us and we picked it up today.
What a great place to stop at, we will definitely be going back to sample more of the menu and hospitality.

Brilliant pub. Great choice of real ale and a cracking menu with a good range of choices. Loved the desert menu too!
Had a lovely family lunch last week, great food! Chips were amazing. Very reasonably priced.
Lovely starter and main. Plentiful portions at a reasonable price. Visited while on holiday but would definitely recommend. I believe they are starting a Tuesday Night Curry Evening each week which I am sure would live up to expectations.
A wonderful assest to our village, we are so fortunate to have 'The Rising Sun'. What an amazing landlord & team! The best location for a party too, with fab food - topped with karaoke! Thank you 5⭐️
