The Apple Restaurant

We absolutely love this hotel. We have been going back every year for quite a few years. The hotel is in a fantastic location no need to use a car. You can walk,catch bus or the train station is just at the top of the hill. The hotel rooms are all beautifully decorated to a very high standard and detail. The restaurant and bar has a very relaxing atmosphere. The food menu is great and the food is exceptional. We always eat in the restaurant as we know we are getting lovely food. The bar has a great variety of drinks including cocktails which we always try. The staff are all lovely, polite and very friendly nothing is too much bother. I always recommend Applegarth to family and friends and when they have been they always say how nice it is. I wouldn't go anywhere else in The Lakes.

My wife and I stayed here for the weekend with two other couples. We stayed in Broadcrag, Middlerigg & Stickle suites. The suites were simply wonderful. Very spacious and had everything we needed. We ate at the restaurant on the Friday evening, the food was delicious. The breakfast was equally as good. All the staff were very accommodating and friendly. This was just what we all needed so a very big thank you for making our weekend a great one. We will definitely be booking again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Applegarth hotel! The staff were lovely and very helpful to any queries we had. The room was fantastic and very spacious and particularly loved the bath it was huge!!! Breakfast was nice they had a good selection. The hotel is walking distance from the lake only about a mile down the road with a great choice of bars and restaurants around if you didn’t fancy eating at the hotel! All in all we had a brilliant experience and would highly recommend!

Me and my husband visited Applegarth over the weekend in December, when it unexpectedly snowed enough to block roads, cut electricity in Cumbria, bring the Windermere town to a standstill. With everything that could go wrong, my stay at Applegarth was as comfortable as anyone could expect on any random day. Alan and Susan, the very warm hotel owners who run the place by themselves, made sure everything was perfect and smooth. They even allowed us to have delayed check outs since our departure trains were cancelled. The property is beautiful and seems recently renovated. The cleanliness was unmatched. They even run three nights for two, over from their website which was a cherry on the cake. Definitely coming back, highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing break, in a warm casual setting.

Just spent a long weekend with my husband for my 70th birthday. A lovely surprise awaited me from the management and staff, a beautiful arrangement of flowers in a box and a card. The hotel offers a warm and friendly atmosphere. The food is all localy produced which is very important. The management and staff are very friendly and warm. Will stay here again.

Applegarth Villa is an amazing, beautiful hotel. We had lovely time. Friendly staffs, the room are stunning, the bed so... Comfortable and clean. The bar is lovely place and very well decorated. We have a lovely views from the room. The food at the restaurant was so good, I can't wait to get back next year. The hotel is nearby the town centre. And to drive over countryside the view is so beautiful. Very highly recommend it. Thanks you so much for everyone make my holiday so special. Dan and Gabriel
