First visit to the Brookside. Lovely pub. Great food. All enjoyed a Sunday roast. Friendly polite staff. Will definitely return here and recommend to others.
Been in to the Brookside this evening and have to say it's well worth the praise.
We've come over from York and are spending the weekend at a local guest house ( Ellerbrook House ) and were advised this was the place to go.
On arrival we asked for a table for 2, and were told one was available, but there was a delay due to a large group who'd just arrived.
No problems there, we sat and enjoyed the drinks. When we ordered, we were then asked if we'd been told about the wait, to which we replied yes.
Quicker than expected, the food came out to us and was subsequently excellent.
If we needed anything, just catching an eye of the staff was enough to bring them to the table.
All in all, excellent service, excellent food, excellent drinks ( Brookside Blonde is a must ) and we will be visiting again.
Our visit to the Brookside Inn was pleasant. The Pub itself was clean tidy and very welcoming and the staff were also friendly and helpful. The food was your typical pub food, I had the chicken wings to start with which were lovely but the battered fish for my main wasn't so nice, I'm no expert but to me the batter tasted like the oil needed changing and my mushy peas were cold and a few more chips would have been nice (maybe the chef was having an off day), the kids did say thier food and portion size were ok but not amazing. For me The Brookside Inn isn't a place I would rush back to but If I was passing I might pop back in to try something else off the menu.
Lovely pub with seperate dinning and drinking areas. Also has outside decking area which overlooks a brook, hence the pub name. Staff were attentive, food ordered and came quickly. We ate and then went to the bar side to play darts. Had a nice evening. We were strangers so quite understandably we had a few looks from the regulars but that didn't bother us one bit.
We stopped here last Sunday after spotting the pub on Google Maps for somewhere to have a Sunday lunch. It's a bit out of the centre of town but worth finding. The done was very good and the service was excellent. We can highly recommend a visit.
A lovely pub that is just a short walk from the town centre. I wouldn’t have known about it without google maps.
Lovely food, huge portion sizes. Great service and a friendly atmosphere. Worth a visit!
Well I definitely have never been here before. On the road up from Bowness turn right at the clock tower to find a local pub. Had a guest St Austell beer on so Paulicarus went for that. Pint 8 in just over 4 hours..what a lad!
Great food and great selection of drinks. We went to the quiz night which is every Thursday and had such a good time, definitely recommend it.

Lovely traditional pub in a residential area of Windermere. Food was excellent, portion size good, There's big screens for watching sports away from the dining area
Staff very friendly and attentive. Good pub food. Lasagna and spicy pizza spot on. Football on tv in one room and food served in another which meant you could avoid it if you wanted to. Would happily go back again.

Typical local pub with typical local food but what sets it apart is the locals. Great beer garden, great people behind and in front of the bar
Fantastic food and good service too 👍 the Thai sticky beef was special, would definitely go back...
