Astare has been recommended on a few occasions so we decided to try it out.
We were given a warm welcome and the atmosphere was nice.
We ordered the set menu and was very impressed.
The portions were good and it was all very tasty.

I had my 70th birthday lunch there yesterday. I can nott recommend the restaurant and staff highly enough. The whole experience could not have been any better just perfect in every way. Worth every penny. Thank you.

What a amazing place the food was fantastic the staff were a perfect balance of welcoming polite and helpful but also left you alone to enjoy your food. The interior is very good and well thought out. I just hope they don't take there eye off the ball and drop there standard's as there high at the moment and that created a wonderful experience.

Food here was absolutely delicious. The best I've had as far as Turkish cuisine goes. The reason that I haven't given a 5 star review is because of the space. Like others have mentioned, the restaurant is too crowded. We were sat right up against the bar, so had restaurant staff constantly taking things to serve. It was uncomfortable and therefore we were unable to relax. Small place, over crowded, but the food & service is excellent.

The food is amazing, really decent fresh meat and vegetables at such reasonable prices. The service is excellent, spot on timing from friendly attentive staff. A definite must go to, we've been several times over the last few months, visiting on our own, with family and with friends on different occasions. All of them have been amazed at the food. We're so lucky to have this restaurant on our doorstep.

We have been to Astare several times over the past 3 years and if anything it just keeps getting better, the food is amazing, atmosphere is great and the staff are just so lovely. Great for couples, families and groups of friends! The king prawns I had last night were the best I’ve ever had! Can’t wait for our next visit!

This is no simple kebab shop. I’m staying with my girl and her family who are all vegans. Told them I had to run to Boots and stopped in here for a quick cheat meal. It was absolutely delicious. Best meal I’ve had since I got to England.

Such a wonderful place to have quick lunch or a quiet mid week dinner. You don’t generally need to book a table midweek but not sure about the weekend. The chicken shish is very good. There is always lots of freshly made sauces and bread that is always hard to stop eating! Great value for money.
