When we first visited a few years ago it was just a normal pub nothing impressive, but pleased kids and dogs were welcome then we tried the food. Now whenever we visit withernsea we always eat here as the grub is amazing and really good value. My husband said yesterday's mixed grill was probably the best he'd ever had and believe me he has had a fair few. I had surf and turf which was beautiful and my son loved the lasagne. So nice to be able to eat and drink when you have your 4 legged friends with you.
Just called in for a quick sandwich and pint with friends and it's was really nice and the staff were lovely and friendly. Our dog was very welcome too. We'll definitely go back when we're in Withernsea.
Unbelievable portions at a great price,you can't see it in the photos ,but the gammon steak goes all the way under the egg.The baguettes were filled to the max,really,really good.
Forgot to take a picture of the meals. Sunday dinner was plentiful, the beef was spot on. Hubby had gammon and chips, the gammon was nice and juicy, mixed grill was also ordered and all the meat was cooked just right. Best meals we have had in a while.
Good pub, great bar staff. Got there early to watch a live band called Tin Soldiers, only to be spoilt by an idiot couple who decided to stand directly in front of me & block my view.
Anyway, they left after the first set so ok now!

Nice spacious pub serving good food at a decent price. Staff are nice too. There is a beer garden, so you can sit in or out.
Found it by accident as a place to eat. Food is pub grub. Excellently cooked to order. Surf and turf served with peas and salad and way too many chips! Next time I swapped chips for mash and gravy with my steak my steak was over cooked and it was swapped immediately for a perfectly cooked even bigger steak! No problems. Hubby had Cajun chicken and salad peas and chips. Again cooked fresh and beautiful. The pub itself is a bit dated and drab. It is what it is, a local drinking hole. There is a small restaurant area to eat at the back but you can eat anywhere in the pub and it's dog friendly too! Staff are friendly and courteous. Approachable too! I like this place a lot. Couldn't rate it 5 stars because of it needing a revamp that is all. Prices are very good. Under £7 per meal!
The first time we came it was absolutely brilliant, super friendly staff, really kind and helpful. Really great food at good prices. They're dog friendly too so our puppy was able to come with us.
The second time, their cook wasn't available so they weren't serving food, but they said we could buy fish and chips and come eat it in their dining area!! I bought drinks and we ate. How lovely is that! Definitely above and beyond in my book.

Good food in the restaurant. Hotel room was spotless ! The bed was comfortable the bathroom was clean and tidy and there were plenty of brew making supplies. A very comfortable stay thank you
We went in spread eagle today for dinner fantastic food and service the amount of food you get it's puzzling how they make any profit. I had a mixed grill and had to leave some as I couldn't eat it all .definitely be going again 100%
