Thank you all for today making feel so welcome with our residents in their wheelchairs the food was fantastic second to none best food in the area I asked about a gluten free option they don't have a gluten free menu but there are lots of things you can still have the staff were very helpful and obliging even cooked a portion of chips for me in a separate pan chucky home made this has really made my day and our residents have said a huge thank you too cant thank you all enough .
Great food (full English breakfast) and excellent service.
The small area with the toy dinosaurs was also fantastic to keep a 3 year old entertained!!
That thing where you’re driving home, fancy a coffee and chance upon a place.
Then comes the part where you feel that a coffee and maybe a slice of cake will be enough and in you go, whereupon restraint goes out the window and as well as enjoying your coffee and cake you buy things for home, for later of course, but later is sooner, oh well.
But why not, with coffee and baked goods as delicious as this (sweet and savory), and the welcome as warm, why wouldn’t you insist that restraint take a break.
I thought a list of things to try might help, but gave up, everything we bought was glorious.
A wonderful family deli/cafe bakers set in the pretty dales village of Wolsingham Bishop Auckland An amazing warm welcome awaits you from Garry and Susie and family to this array of niceties Freshly made sandwiches pies and savouries artisan breads plus a wonderful collection of cakes and things you must have which changes weekly You can now eat inside this pretty little establishment where they have 3 tables and chairs with an intimate atmosphere This place would not look out of place in any fine Cotswold village A wonderful find in the Durham Dales

Thanks Peggottys.
I was looking for decent bread...the properly baked artisan product that tastes sublime. Away on a cottage holiday and having looked online, I found Peggottys. I arrived after a hike and wow what a fabulous shop, the layout, the bread ,cheeses, everything. The staff were great. If you like good food and great bread, look them up
Great place to shop with a variety of luscious treats.
Stopped by for some take-away lunch on a long journey home from holiday in the Scottish Borders. Chose this place based on how it looked on Google maps. It had an excellent choice of savoury food, many different delicious cakes / sweet options. Also some quality healthy fruit. Very friendly too. It was about 4 minutes walk from the free long stay car park (where there are some picnic benches) and there were public toilets on that walking route, so all in all it beats stopping at motorway services.
Great selection of cakes and baked goods, including a few gluten free cakes. Very tasty and the coffee was delicious!
