Interesting quirky and fascinating place for an equally interesting snack and drink from many beers and ciders available. I had the butter chicken tapas served with 2 chunks of nice bread. The chicken was perfect, tender and complex in flavour. I chose a French cider which was amazing. Quite quiet after the lunch rush and very friendly helpful staff. Thank you.
My brother sister and myself ate about 7.20pm . The place was very busy,so we chose to go upstairs to get a table. This was a Thursday and one table left.
Two of us ate the meat platters £16 each and my brother had schnitzel £12 plus latte prosecco and water for just over £ 50 . You order and pay at the bar. The young girl behind the bar was great. Super quick and very efficient.

Stake and veal pie's all sold out at this time,as this was my first choice.

Called in for a coffee, one of the best coffees I've had in York! Staff so friendly, very comfortable seating area. Oldie look with a moden twist. Definitely call in. Serve food 10am till 9.30pm

First time visiting this place. Staff absolutely fantastic. Food portions are unbelievable. I do recommend this wholeheartedly. Go see. You never be stuck for a choice of ale or beer.
Been here a few times for both lunch and evening drinks. Really cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and the food is very tasty and rustic with generous portion sizes. The beer and cheese soup is amazing! Always had a lovely experience here every time we've been.

I can’t speak highly enough of the service we got. The manager (I think) Harrison, and his team went way above & beyond. They were short staffed but food appeared on time. They were friendly, polite and extremely efficient. A great team.
The buffet was way above average, really good falafel. Beer choice and quality is very good, good value too. Nice atmosphere & decor, good location. Highly recommend.

Fantastic multi-story pub with an unbeatable selection of craft ales and fine food. My Bangers & Mash was an incredible value and quite tasty.
Great place to drop in, and have a dribk and food, grwt seelction of craft beers and wine, original menu, great atmosphere and buliding.
