Checking in was easy although directions to the Tanner Row entrance could have been a little clearer. Apartment was spacious, clean and well furnished. It's in a great location just outside the city centre so within easy walking distance of everything with the added bonus of no street noise at night.
We booked a deluxe apartment and felt that it didn't live up to its name. I expected a walk-in shower not an over bath one. There wasn't a coffee maker either so not really sure what we got extra for our money.
We didn't have any interaction with the staff apart from a couple of the housekeepers and they were very friendly and helpful.
I have included a picture of a card left in the apartment. I am a grown adult with the means to pay the premium rates charged by the Lawrence. I do not need threats of financial penalties should damage occur. There were similarly worded items included with the booking confirmation and the welcome email. It gives a really poor impression of customer care.
Wonderful luxury apartments in a quiet but very central area of York. Spacious and well equipped throughout with a shared private courtyard area. Only downside was lack of parking on site but very close to NCP car park with discount provided to residents. Highly recommended.
Great apartment. Location is very good, handy for the Minster, the Walls, Shambles, etc. Nice walks along river nearby. Apartment well equipped and nicely decorated, more pillows (or slightly beefier pillows) would be good, but beds very comfortable. Everything else, excellent.
Fantastic apartments, comfortable and spacious beds with a lovely atmosphere that's easy walking distance to most of York's tourist attractions. Very good price when shared between 2 couples.
Only minor downside was that we had paid for early check in and there was some confusion with the cleaner but this was easily rectified at reception and we were able to access the apartment as normal.
I would highly recommend staying here.
Very nice apartment. I only have 3 criticisms: (1) it wasn't clear which lock box was mine from the instructions...lose the 'TR' before the number guys! (2) there is no instant way to contact them if there's a problem, they really do need to do better on that, (3) while there's loads of power points there is not one in the dining area, just a weird EU outlet. No good for me when I needed to do a bit of work using my laptop!!
Great property for 4 nights. Very well appointed, well kept, spacious, comfortable. Great central location. Well equipped kitchen, even for making a dinner. A lot of diversity in unit locations within the complex. We were very content with ours ( deluxe).
Amazing. The apartment was perfect and exceptionally clean. I found it very peaceful and the beds were so comfy. Central location just off micklegate. Will without doubt stay again.
The Lawrance Apartments are a lively place to stay. Very close to the centre of York. Immaculately finished and super clean. Will always come back here.
Beautiful Aparthotel, immaculate through out.Good size suite of rooms,lovely furniture to compliment it.Pretty central to many good restaurants/shops. York Minster which is a must to visit along with many historic places of interest.Definately be using The Lawrance again.
Well appointed loft room with everything you could ask for and at a decent price. Excellent security. Very happy & would definitely stay again if in York. And no, unfortunately we are not related!
