Came over to york to visit my daughter and granddaughter. Service was very slow, the waitress needs to learn how to smile but the food was lovely. In all fairness we have been offered two free breakfasts when we come back. Thank you
This place while it may not be the prettiest or the most fancy food. It makes up for those with a simple menu that is delicious which is well worth the money for a nice afternoon lunch. My favourite is the Farmhouse Grill.
The atmosphere is cost and friendly, temperature is balanced and you can enjoy hearing the radio and enjoy the free WiFi.
The owner who also cooks is a very friendly person who is always willing to have a nice chat and socializes with his customers, if you're a regular then you can consider yourself a friend to him!
This place is great if you want to bring your family for a nice simple meal with good value and if on your own. A nice afternoon to yourself.
The only downside is the amount of stairs, for some people it won't be an issue but for those who have difficulty or in a wheel may struggle.
Ate here a while a go. Staff didn't rush me which was nice and the sandwich was tasty and a reasonable price. Clean and tidy. Nice to support the local cafe's. Would like to try and hot meal next time.
A spacious and lively cafe thats a real gem in Acomb. His staff are pleasant, its child friendly with own play corner equipped with books, toys and a chalk board. Andy the owner goes above and beyond for his customers, the only downside is no disabled access.

Nice cafe, good prices and good food and drinks. I've been here many times and I'm yet to be disappointed. Would recommend to others looking for something to eat or drink at good prices.

Very good breakfast ,bacon,egg,mushrooms,tomatoes,beans,2rounds of toast and pot of tea and that's a small breakfast for a fiver. Brill service and courteous staff.
Amazing food. Awesome atmosphere and brilliant staff. I highly recommend the big breakfast.
Staff are so friendly and attentive, food was delicious "jacket potato"... Great with kids too... 5 star Al!
