I visited at the weekend, it was an amazing atmosphere all the time we was there. Wonderful service from the moment I walked in to the moment I left, they accommodated my food requirements and the food was really tasty and affordable it was a lovely day and place to go out.

Very unique bar, a must visit! Only went in for a drink so glad I did as it is such a quirky bar. Good selection of beers on and staff were friendly. Definitely recommend a visit.

Such a cool space. Like stepping back in time. Had dinner out in York and dropped into Lendal for a late drink. Bartender read the group instantly and made sure we were all taken care of. Pints, scotch and wine at the table and all the lads had a great time.

Great place for a Sunday Roast in York. They even do a veggie kids option which is rarity.

Friendly staff, very clean and such a quirky atmosphere being in 3 cellars.
Didn’t eat here, so I can’t comment on the food. But people seemed happy with their orders and everything smelt good.

A regular haunt on trips to York. We had the steak pie, with mushy peas, chips and gravy for me. Quite frankly the best pie I have had for I don't know how long. We can always get seated as it is a little hidden away. Not glamorous but welcoming and genuine cellar aesthetics are worth a visit too... I'll be back as Arnie says...

Nice pub, part of the Green King network located in an actual cellar, maybe it used to be some catacombs back in the day. Nice food and drink menu. Staff is quick, friendly and attentive. The only downside is that you can't get any signal down there, but the pub's WiFi is decent enough if you wanted to order from the app. Didn't wait too long for our food. I would go there again, when traveling again to York.

Us Cellar-heads love it! I'm always out here in the cellar, drinking flint eye mainly and sometimes level head but NEVER spirits or wine. I dont drink spirits or wine, not sure why, i just never have. Thanks team cellar!
