Popped in for a quick half while on our wall walk. What a great find!
Friendly staff, very clean and such a quirky atmosphere being in 3 cellars.
Didn’t eat here, so I can’t comment on the food. But people seemed happy with their orders and everything smelt good.
Went for a Sunday evening dinner. Really nice décor, friendly staff, reasonably priced menu. Will certainly look at coming back next time we are back up in York 😊
Really nice pub, amazing location so different from your normal pub. Great choice of good beers and friendly welcoming staff. I really would recommend a visit.
I visited at the weekend, it was an amazing atmosphere all the time we was there. Wonderful service from the moment I walked in to the moment I left, they accommodated my food requirements and the food was really tasty and affordable it was a lovely day and place to go out.
110% recommend and we will be returning customers.
Decent place for drinks. A bit quiter has a beer garden. The food looked good.
A regular haunt on trips to York. We had the steak pie, with mushy peas, chips and gravy for me. Quite frankly the best pie I have had for I don't know how long. We can always get seated as it is a little hidden away. Not glamorous but welcoming and genuine cellar aesthetics are worth a visit too... I'll be back as Arnie says...
Such a cool space. Like stepping back in time. Had dinner out in York and dropped into Lendal for a late drink. Bartender read the group instantly and made sure we were all taken care of. Pints, scotch and wine at the table and all the lads had a great time.
Nice pub, part of the Green King network located in an actual cellar, maybe it used to be some catacombs back in the day. Nice food and drink menu. Staff is quick, friendly and attentive. The only downside is that you can't get any signal down there, but the pub's WiFi is decent enough if you wanted to order from the app. Didn't wait too long for our food. I would go there again, when traveling again to York.
Great place for a Sunday Roast in York. They even do a veggie kids option which is rarity.
Brilliant place to eat and drink. I went here with my family and we had food from the lunch menu. We ordered both alcoholic drinks and some J2Os.
The toilets were easily accessible and central, although there were only 2 female toilets and not very clean.
Beautiful scenery and lovely setting, with it being an old railway place.
Would recommend and come again :)
