We’ve eaten at the restaurant in its previous location and enjoyed it. This for me was a step up in terms of food, service and ambiance. The team should be very proud. There was four of us and the evening was great. The price reflects the quality and service and is just right. We’ll be back.
Impeccable service and very nice food. Service was just the right side of attentive.
The menu is quite small but varied. Stone bass and daal was eye opening. Venison with whisky sauce was delicious but the highlight was halibut with green peppercorn sauce. 10/10
The food is superb. However, to be picky we found the quantity of food per person to be lacking compared to other similarly priced high end restaurants in York. Overall a good evening, but just that niggle of a lack of substance. PS: We are not big eaters.
Absolutely EXCEPTIONAL food, service, ambience… everything! Do not hesitate to come here. Fish dishes were so flavourful, and thoughtful. Bar snacks also incredible. Make time to come here, you won’t regret it.
