The Wenlock Arms

My husband and I stopped here for lunch after previously visiting several times for quick drinks. We thought we'd get basic pub grub, but our expectations were more than exceeded! My husband ordered a rump steak, whereas I ordered the stuffed chicken breast wrapped in parma ham (which I heartily recommend.) Both dishes were absolutely delicious and came fairly quickly. Our server was sweet and attentive and all the bar staff were very friendly. We will definitely be returning soon!

Had a lovely meal with friends. I'm one of those slightly awkward folk that needs the odd tweak with meals & The team in The Wenlock were extremely accommodating, no issues, the service was fantastic & the food was wonderful. It was a warm evening & we sat inside to eat, it was very quiet inside so once we'd finished our meals we went in the beer garden which was buzzing with people enjoying the sunshine & the pubs refreshments. Fabulous evening had by all.

We was booked in at the pub for 2pm on Sunday 11th June for the carvery as we we're staying locally for a couple of nights. Unfortunately my husband was suffering really badly with hay fever and couldn't go so I rang to explain and cancel. We then decided to ask if I could pick it up as a takeaway and they said yes. I'm really glad we did it was fantastic everything cooked perfect and it was packed up in boxes and was piping hot. The staff were very friendly and helpful and hopefully in the near future when we come back to stay we will get to have our next carvery in the pub 😀 thank you everyone x Diane Harris

Had dinner at the Wenlock Arms last weekend, hadn't tried the food here before. I was delighted. The service was first class, friendly, accommodating, attentive, happy to explain the thinking behind the dishes. Can find no fault at all with the service - exemplary. The food was really good, high quality ingredients (so it seemed to me) and well prepared. The menu had just the right number of options, not so few to limit choice, but not so many as to make me suspicious of the cooked to order credentials. I'm looking forward to going again and I'll definitely recommend. As a minor suggestion - I'd change the bottles and bottle boxes on the high shelves for some "high end" (empty) wine bottles and dispense with the boxes.
